Solid Snake Movie
You know....... It would be damn cool if they came out with a metal gear movie. Who agrees. It would be action packed.

Hideo said that is a no go, if it were to go, it would be done by the Wachoski Brothers (sp?), the guys who did The Matrix.

I don't know . . . .
I can't imagine a Metal Gear movie actually being any good. The problem is that the games already have so much characteristic with the familiar voice actors and the already tightly directed Codec conversations and cinemas. |

nah a movie would ruin the series, and for more than one reason.
A.It would be given to a director who knows nothing of the games, resident evil any1? B.he'd more than likely add and change stuff that would annoy true fans of the game. C.It's failure would tarnish the series. hope its a definate no go.

Are there any good video game movies? I mean the Hollywoodised type, as some of the anime Street Fighter films were good.

Actually I never saw that show of satanism, and probably never will, and if I do, it will be against my free will. As well as that screwd up street Fighter movie. Honestly there's nothing that comes to my mind... FF Spirits withing is a pretty cool sci-fi movie, but it's not even live action and the only thing it has about Final Fantasy is the title...

It was a remote possibility that a MGS movie would come out, but Hideo Kojima said if it went through, he would be co-producing it. The saddening truth is that they were considering using "Tom Cruise" as Snake. I guess it goes well because any other top dollar actor would want his over-rated plastic surgery modified face all over anything that had to do with the movie. Hideo probably wouldn't want anyone else's face on his games, and Tom Cruise has a licensing on his face. Any game made based off of his movies: Action figures, etc. Nothing has Tom Cruise's face on it. (A la Top Gun, Minority Report, Mission: Impossible)
I personally think Tom Cruise would ruin the series if the movie went through. Hugh Jackman would play Solid VERY well.

Yeah Tom Cruise wouldn't fit the bar because he can't be stealthy, they would see his nose.

The Resident Evil movie was horror? I thought horror movies were supposed to be scary.
Anyway, I think a MGS movie sounds bad just because I know they wouldn't be able to get someone famous who I think would do a great job with some of the characters, for the guys anyway. I think the ladies are easier to cast for these kinda things. |
