Spike Spiegel's voice acting

This is a stupid question, but I can't find info among credits, so I'm asking here, in case some member can give me an answer: is Solid Snake's voice the same of Spike Spiegel in Japan?

They sound so similar... I'd say they're the same, also considering both characters are so popular... it could be, but I can't find the name of the actor who gave the voice to both, so I can't really say

Nope. They're not the same voice actor.
Solid Snake's Japanese actor is Otsuka Akio, while Spike Spiegel's one is Yamadera Kohichi. Both of them are really famous voice actors in Japan and they gave their voices to dozens of anime characters, but they're not the same person

I've heard the name Kohichi Yamadera somewhere... is he part of some other famous videogame cast?
