Anyone into the McFarlane Sports Picks
I just started collecting the McFarlane NHL series this past week, and unfortunitly am probably going a little overboard. For anyone who doesnt know what that is here is a link. I have 23 of them now.
https://www.mcfarlane.com/toys/sports...hoto_02_dl.jpg This is one of the hand crafted players in the package https://www.kootenaycollectibles.com/...1073172189.jpg Anyway these range anywhere from $10 to $100 each depending what series you go after. The original Martin Brodure is about $100 if you can find it, and the new series 7 is about $10 or more. Plus each player comes as a variant. Meaning they wear a differnt uniform. (Home/Away/Retro) So there are lots to collect. My collection is up to 23 now, with the limited edition Teemu Salanne being shipped to me as we speak. ( the one from the second link) Anyway just want to know if anyone was into these things. I think its a great new hobby and recommed it to anyone who likes sports. Other sports include NFL, NBA, MLB and NASCAR McFarlane is the creater of the spawn series and makes all the monsters hand crafted for sale to collecters

I now have 36 of these bloddy things. 32 in unopened packages in on my wall and around my computer desk and 4 opened. ( I had doubles that I couldnt trade) If anyone is looking for a hobby, i suggest these. I only collect hockey players, but there are NFL, MBL, NBA and Nascar as well. Get into it!

I collect the nfl Mcfarlane figures. I dont have any rare ones (That I know of) but I agree its a great hobby for sports fans. And besides that thier just good to look at with all the detail. Ive only got 4 now. Ive got Jeremy Shockey, Shaun Alexander, Preist Holmes, and Clinton Portis, all running on top of my computer desk. In fact heres a really bad horribly lit pic I just took

I was going to nab a few nba figures. But I didnt like the look of many of them. Yao Ming was the only one I would have bought that ive seen so far. If you want to know what i mean baout how bad some of them look check out the lebron james figure at mcfarlane.com. It just flat out looks NOTHING like LeBron

yeah actually i noticed that with the nba guys, carter from series 5 i think looks nothing like him. Maybe it has something to do with not having a heltmit on or something. I mean the hockey and football are awsome, but it me be due to the helmets.
