i like dragonforce because it sounds like videogame music but their metal is beyond metal cause its like shat idk. way friggin cool. dragonforce is a class of its own and i really dont listen to other metal bands so to me the word metal doesnt exist since i just refere it to dragonforce.

i love all kinds of metal. tons of bands... everything from Nine Inch Nails to Underoath.

doesnt matter what genre.. as long as its heavy.. good.. and got good lyrics.

Don't know about any christian death metal, but I've been listening to metal for ages now. Everything ranging from early Terrorizer, Napalm Death, Carcass, Sodom, Voivod, Nocturnus, Grave, Master, Slayer, Anthrax to Accept, Kreator, Celtic Frost, Maiden to System of a down, Pig Destroyer, Morbid Angel. But I'm mostly into Hardcore/punk since the early nineties, golden age of hardcore around here everything went a bit downhill qualitywise to me.
Most bands I still listen to on a daily basis are bands like Gorilla Biscuits, Youth of Today, Vision, No Redeeming Social Value, Sworn Enemy, Hatebreed, Suicidal Tendencies etc.etc.

One of the few true metal bands that I think still kick ass nowadays is The Haunted from Sweden, check them out if your into it.

christian death metal or any christian metal sounds basically the same as regular metal except it has christian lyrics.you know....no cussing....ect....ect....but still christian metal is awesome!!

But they probably preach in their lyrics also?? I knew this one christian hardcore band called "No innocent victim", which had this insane song "You're pro-choice, you're pro-kill" or something which turned me off.
Don't want to be prejudiced about any kind of music, but do you listen to christian metal because of the lyrics/message or because of the music is different than other metal bands.

lyrics/message.that why i listen to it. only sometimes do they "preach" in there songs but mostly they just TALK about god and jesus not "preach".if that makes any sense to ya.srry if doesn't

i like ravey music a lot more than metal because i can dance with glowsticks and such but umm i just can't get into the new metal bands because to me they all sound the same right now.

anyone know of some good metal bounds out right now that arent all "rawrrr" and power chords?

No I understand it, but can you still listen to more conventional death metal bands than? Which lyrics theme-wise mainly are about satan, demons, hell etc. For example are you offended by earlier Morbid Angel songs like "Altars of madness"? Or do you find they're not to be taken serious and are just meant to entertain.

Gamer there's still good original bands around, maybe check out some Dillinger Escape Plan, Fantomas, Strapping Young Lad etc. The market is overflowing with a lot of nu-metal, emo-core crap so you just need to dig deeper.
