Escaflowne ?

Anyone seen this ? If you have, did you like it ?

Man, I saw the boxset of this anime, which is supposed to be a limited edition [only 1,000 copies, no?], and the box is gorgeous !
This has to definitely be one of the nicest looking boxsets I've seen.

So, anyway, how is this ?

Escaflowne, as in Vision of Escaflowne? Yeah, Its great! YTV aired this show a while ago, it easyily became one of my faves

considering is another mecha anime, I seem to be drwan to them...

I just got the Escaflowne Movie today, looks good. Now, im off to watch it!

I bought the movie, not knowing there was a Series. I'd definately buy the boxset if I could, as the moive was quite cool, although I couldn't follow the plot easily due to obvious reasons. From what I know, its about a big Mech, known as Escaflowne.

This is a great series. I remember when it started airing on Fox kids, it was the sh*t. It was the first show that got me to start liking anime. I highly suggest you buying it. I got the limited edition perfect vision box set a long time ago, about a month after it was released. There are 10,000 copies, i got number 107, each one is sold for $200, or at least it was when i bought it, and each set comes with a limeted addition figurine of a mech, 21 kinds total. I got the black escaflowne with mine, yay. And the movie is great. I got the ultimate addition movie box set the day it came out, and was very saticfied. But after recently having a conversation with some woman who over heard a conversation about the series with some friends, saying that the movie wasn't all that great. You have to see the series first to truely enhoy the movie. then you realise how great it really is.

Buy buy buy. It's worth it, i'm very serious.

Yeah, I've seen the t.v. show on YTV a while back... it's great.
I really liked the mecha... how they were designed, but I just thought that the serie wasn't long enough ! I wanted to see more...

The main music theme was also pretty good.

Escaflowne is a v good anime, I like mech anime's usually, but this one added a fantasy, kinda magical twist to it that was very well found.

IMO, and I know I'm gonna get some slack for this, I rate it above Gundam, and many other mech storys
