What do you do when you have nothing to say?

There are some situations in which talking is needed, but you can't really think of anything to say, at least nothing to start a conversation or nothing interesting. What do you do in such cases? Do you feel embarassed when nobody's talking? Do you talk anyway, also about really silly things that randomly come to your mind? Do you wait for others to talk and just try listening to what others say?

I'm never really much of a talker...

Since most of the people I know don't really like my 'dark humor', I usually just don't talk.

Still, when the conversation is at a point where it's just embarassin' not to talk... why not leave ?

LoL. I talk gibberish, it's our own personal language. I don't think people are really listening basically cause I'm always laughing and smiling. I'm a craZy alien I tell ya. I like to be annoying. However, I know when to shut up and I really don't talk in class. At least not in most, there are exceptions.

When I was in new york they gave me a f instead of a p for my egyption necklace. And I tell everyone about it and so they call me fam or maf or ale maf lol.

it depends on who im with, if im with my friends i neva have any probs but if its somebody i only talk to every now an again then i dont know what to say so its really awkward.
but usually i wont say much

Since I'm the quietest person in school, I hardly talk....so whenever I'm with a group of people, I don't say anything anyway. But, if I encounter a situation where talking is needed, I just shut up and don't say anything like usual. Everything that comes out of my mouth tends to bore people outta their minds, so what's the point in me starting a conversation?

Depends! If I find anything to say suitable for the moment, I keep talking even if nobody's interested, but if I don't find anything suitable, I shut up instead of telling rubbish.
