Xbox hand on.
Well I could mention the buying of my GameCube in goodman's thread, but I guess its better if I make an Xbox one.
I am getting it the "Next" friday. So I get two games with it, but other then that...I am planning to get ONE game for it.... LIKE ALWAYS, a little confused about which one to purchase. These are my choices. 1.) Splinter Cell 2.) Halo 3.) Dead to Rights 4.) Dead or Alive 3

alot of people will mention halo but if your a steath junkie and like the steath part of metal gear solid game's. i say go with spinter cell the game is pure steath the character does more steath move's then snake. and if you have a need to get a game with lot's of killing. get dead to right's or halo. Dead or alive 3 is good but can get boring after awhile.

If I were you, the first game I would get is HALO, which is something that is a must for X-BOX owners. Dead or Alive 3 is exactly like DOA 2, except with more stages, and the girls have larger breasts. So, for the second game, you should get Splinter Cell, IMO.

Hmm....it still is a tough choice, I know like Digi said, that I will get Halo eventually, so why not get it now.....well thats true, its just that I have tried Halo, and played it quite a bit. But havn't tried Splinter Cell, still.....Halo seems like a good choice to get while getting an Xbox.
So I believe Dead Or Alive is totally out of the question eh. I wanted Dead to Rights, but then checked few reviews on the other systems, and the best one came out for the Xbox, so thats why. Xbox Live?.....Hmmmm I dont know, I first have to get a router, and then Ps2 Network Adapter first, to get my SOCOM online, alongside with (Resident Evil Online <----- $5-$10 fee ) I might have to think about that..!!! BLAH But yeah, I dont wanna pay yearly for Xbox Live...... just dont think I'd wanna go there yet. And thanks for the List Nelo..... Hitman2, I am planning to get it on Ps2, as I read at most places that its best out on the Ps2, just like I am gonna with Need4Speed on PS2. Oh by the way ...... for $29.99, I just might grab, Project Gothem Racing..... not bad eh?....or is it? But yeah, I LOVE stealth action games.....simply love them. And I really wanna know what the great fuss is all about Splinter Cell (I have played the game before), but wanna go deep into the storyline and all. I have few days to think it over.

If you have a fairly chunky PC, I'd suggest getting Splinter Cell for PC instead - that's what I intend to do.
If you're getting an XBox, I'd recommend buying games that are exclusive to the 'Box. Unfortunately for me, anything I've been interested in is already out, or coming out for other systems. - S

Splinter Cell is my type of a game, pure Stealth/Action/Adventure type. (And sadly I dont have a good PC, I never play games on my PC. Only Counter Strike and the Normal Half-Life). As for Dead To Rights, I heard from many people that it has one of the best storylines. And GameSpot even gave it an award for the Best Storyline for a game this Year. And I DIG storylines like hell!!! and it is an action/adventure too. I will be getting later......... Project Gotham Racing, Shenmue II, Unreal Championship, Dino Crises 3 and games like those that are XBox exclusive!

probely the only reason i picked splinter cell over all the other game selection is because i realy like mgs and splinter cell is stealth! which will probely be exciting, of course not as exciting as mgs, but thats y it won over all the other choices!
btw i looked through the instruction manual and i only saw three weapons now i hope there is more weapons in splinter cell than that!!!!!

I am pretty sure there will be, may be they just dont want the players to know whats in the game already. By the way, how is Jet Set Radio Future and Sega GT 2002. I heard JSRF is one hell of a game!

I'm sure you'll want Splinter Cell first, then HALO. But HALO is a MUST HAVE, sooner or later. Get DOA 3 as well.

I cant wait for my Xbox to come home. Well today was Boxing Day, and it was CRAZEEEEEEE at BEST BUY....seriously. But with some decent deals as well on prices. I saw Unreal Championship on XBOX for only $49.99 Canadian (Actual Price is $69.99)..So I couldn't help it, and got myself that. So I already have Unreal Championship for Xbox, but havn't got the system yet.
Neways......So JSRF sounds even better now. Cool......

I would go with Halo, or if you have lots of time, I recommend The elder scrolls III: Morrowind.

Nah, I dont like RPGs at all!! and even Strategy games doesn't attract me.
I already have Unreal Championship and I hope (guess) that with the system I will buy "Splinter Cell".... and after that the next title would be "Shenmue II"....... .. I'll see.!.
