I dont know wether to laugh or cry.
Well i was on one of my other forums and a forum member posted this. i mean its the most dumbest thing i have either seen....but its too sad to laugh at.
Enter the sadness what are your thoughts on this? is this as bad as the guy who tried to sell his family on ebay or worse? you be the judge Edit: yes it does dab in the Supernatural. but i dont belive a single word of this.

Well, you know, I think that crying is a bit too much. You know, I think those people who stole and tried to sell the shuttle debris were horrible persons (or very poor ones), but this guy isn't doing anything really bad.
It seems of course a hoax, and even the jar looks terribly funny; I find difficult to believe there is someone really willing to pay thousands of dollars for that thing, and in fact the last bidder seems like a fake member (only 1 object in his feedback list), but if there's really someone trying to buying it, it means there is someone willing to believe in it... And if it's true... that guy is selling a bad curse to the buyer... why on earth should I buy a black blob that tries to strangle me? brrrrrr Of course, if you follow some kind of spiritist religion, you could be offended by a thing like that. |

I would like to know why someone would want to pay for something like that. First of all if the stories were true then the "blob" thing sounded like it was trying to harm him. It all sounds very fishy to me. I know I wouldn't waste my time on something like that.

Well I dunno but I would probably say hoax as a personal opinion but here are 2 different views...
Does this person actually have proof that he saw someone about the "problem" and if so can he get us that proof on demand. I think somebody would be literally INSANE to bid on that auction. Its probably just a painted jar with noting in it and a few old photos somebody has found in the attic. So this could point to "cough" hoax "cough. Basically I think it is. If somebody bought it on the first night they would be like and by morning if nothing happened they'd be like . Also I think the seller of the item should have added to the bottom that only insane psycopaths should bid because they may die from the black hands that could strangle your head off. Unless (we keep returning to thios) it is a complete hoax. Finally Id just like to point out that I agree with Harry on this and I also tink that the sale of shuttle debris was a macabre and sickening act.

I wouldn't cry, but this doesn't make me laugh either. Well, it made me smile at the beginning, because it is kinda weird and uncommon, but thinking about it, there's not much to laugh or smile... I agree that o place a bid there you must be insane! I wonder: if the bidder is really a fake and they find out, what will ebay staff do to the seller?

I am inclined to agree with what Faile has just said because as I did state in the paranormal/supernatural topic : "I Believe". Also I would just like to say this guy or lass (i dont know which - sorry) seems very determined to get rid of it and is taking some high precautions to kind of ensure it doesnt get into the wrong hands. She/he also warns in the topic about it very seriously quite a few times so im inclined to wonder...

Ps, does anybody know the Record sale for an Ebay item? I dunno if this is close, but it'd be interesting to see what was top...and how much it sold for!!! If you ever watch So Graham Norton (UK program) you'll know Graham got somebody to plaster cast their lower region, and they sold it for a few thosand on Ebay!!! Similarly, people buy anything... Eg, a Rock from somebodies garden went for a few hundred, and other junk items seem to just get snapped up....some people are very weird! EDIT: Haha, did anybody notice that the jar is on top of a bowl that has a cake insde it...maybeits a ghost cake....*searches Ebay for ghost cake* heh Lol, look at this...forget a ghost in a jar....i want a ghost in a CAR https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...category=19270

$550,800.00!? your kidding me! last time i looked it was only 15,100 or something like that. ah well i hope people dont get disapointed when they lose all their money
but this made me laugh for about a little bit. just want everyone to know that the person with the other"Ghost in a Jar" has nothing to do with mine....note the lack of photos...just someone playing around trying to con you. Mimicry may be the highest form of flattery but they are just riduculous!

I'd bid for that "thing" too, just to see what happens... but I wouldn't like the idea of winning the auction

Just to report on the outcome of this auction: gary_the_gimp_horn (an unregistered bidder) won and payed by Paypal paying US $50,922.00 - if he exits what an idiot.

I dont think its real, but if it is and if the person actually paid that amount for that jar, was because he believed in something. And there are many people who like to take control of "ghost and spirits"....... it just could be one of those people who would wanna try to capture another ghost or spirit. As for the dark thing that comes to harm the person who has it.. there are ways to get rid of that.
But over all, I think someones having a big laugh...or something like that.

If it wasnt a fake why didnt the seller just try to smash the jar and be dne with it? Common sense man...

Rather than sad, I'd say this is just WRONG! Meaning there must be something wrong with the person who's selling this item and also with the persons, in case they're not fakes, who placed their bids!

Wow, this is just pitiful. I can't believe someone would pay that much for a hoax...
While the seller did sound pretty serious about wanting to get rid of "The Black Thing", the description sounds awfully familiar to those other hoax on the net; like the ones that say (for example) "JULY 15th- A DISCOVERY WILL BE REVEALED THAT WILL CHANGE THE WORLD". You guys know what I'm talking about, right? Someone posted something like that here a while back too (March?). The description has pretty much a journal feel to it, like he's telling a great story to draw the readers in. The seller is a creative storyteller... ...That's not to say that I don't believe in ghosts/supernatural. I do and this guy could be for real, but if it was seriously a frightening experience and I desperately wanted to get rid of the thing, I wouldn't write: "What I was able to read in the journal before the pages crumbled made the hair on the back of my neck stand up!" or... "While lying in bed, this "thing" fell on me and it felt like I was being pushed down thru the bed and the floor, into a pit if you will!" Sorry, but that just sounds "too exciting". Someone who's dead serious about wanting to get rid of such an evil spirit would not be using exclamation marks or such an excited narrative tone. But, maybe that's just me.

Did you notice the pentagram on the side of the jar on the second or third picture? (it's a pentagram if the star's upright, a pentacle is it's upside down, right?)
And this is supposed to have been in the early settler days, I think it said. Just makes me think he thought it'd sell better if it looked more devilish. |
