Edit: I seriously I think women should be able to do anything they want. It really irks me though when some women b**** about how the system is so aligned against them (and this is in Cali...) and then they just play into stereotypes or use posotive aspects of that stereotype to thier advantage.

Anyway. Women should be able to do work anywhere they want.. I just shy away from the subject because I find it uncomfortable. Take women being soldiers.. That's all well and good on paper but it's completely subconcious for a guy to be more disturbed seeing a woman (comrade) shot up next to him than a man.. demoralization means less combat effectiveness, and all that jazz. Eventually it wouldn't matter, but people (at least me) were raised thinking that we should protect the chicas.. I won't be able to honestly say that a woman is completely and totally equal to a guy in my eyes.. because by default if I see someone hitting a woman I will go over and kick thier ass. Whole defense by default thing..

.....man this edit was longer than I expected. Abridged version: Women should be able to work wherever they want, but shouldn't push total equality on everyone they see. Take into consideration how other people were raised, not all us guys are *******s who don't respect you, but it is a subconcious reaction to be all chivalrous.. call one of us if you see one of those wife-beating bastards.

I think nowadays women can do whatever they want, of course, and very often they demonstrate even more strenght than men, because in many cases they can work and at the same time they keep on taking care of all the other things.

Yeah, I'm all for women going to work. If they enjoy it and its something they want to do, go right ahead. Who am I to say that my woman can't go out and get a job. Its her decision. I kinda like seeing women work. Less time I have to listen them complain about those womanly things.

Women today obviously can do all jobs a man can do. I worked with some women in factories that were tougher that a lot of the men. In todays society it is nearly impossible to survive on one paycheck alone. Roles have changed.

I can cook somewhat. But when I do it's usually stuff like spaghetti or tacos. I made a roast once, but my wife left me instructions.

And as far as dishwashing goes, since I'm in school I have more free time than my wife so I do quite a bit of housework. But luckily our dishwasher isn't broken.

Here at home we had the dishwasher broken for a month or so and my brother had to wash the dishes most of the time, 'cause I wasn't at home very often and my mom works

I have a fealing that this thread is getting a bit off topic. anyways, I don't care what a woman wants to do. Some perfer to be at home with their children and cleaning, taking care of the house, and just being a real nice person, but if a female wants to work, that's awesome, because I feel that chicks are a lot more serious about work than males are, and at least girls don't slack off on the job, or always find the easiest way out. They have respect for what they do, and actually appreachiate the fact that they have the right to work. And I respect them for that. Guys take that for granted and just ***** about how much their job sucks and so on and so fourth.

So whatever a woman wants to do is fine with me, just as long as the one I marry knows how to cook.

Well, I Think, If A Female Wants To Work, She Should...But.....When The Time Comes To Look After The Baby, I Think She Should Give More Importance To The Baby Then To Work, And For That........Job Is Not Good. MakgSnake, I think you're talking like this because it's your religion. You have to think that not all women are made to be mothers, in fact it's better for a woman to be sinlge or not having children than having children and then not being able to make them grow in a decent way.
So, work is good both for mothers, because the fact they love their children doesn't make them the slaves of the house, like it happens very often, and for women that don't want to be mothers because they're not prepared or they're not the kind of persons for a family.
