Lord of the Rings
I have seen the movie recently, but I still have to read the book.
I want to know if the cinematographic version is loyal to the original or not. |

Obviously there are some differences, because a cinematographic version can't be 100% identical to the book.
But in this case the movie is quite loyal to the original version. |

I never read the book because I hate reading, but after I saw the movie I emediatly wanted to find the book so that I could go through the whole thing the way it was originally meant to be.
The movie was awesome. I'm sure the book will be just as good.

The books are very good. I've finished the Hobbit, and am 2 1/2 chapters from the end of the Fellowship of the Ring. VERY good. Must read.

As soon as I heard the movie was coming out I bought the books. I was able to finish all by the movie premier here in NY and the movie is loyal to the book. It changes small things and ommits some characters. I think it was done because of the time, trust me...it was long enough but if they fit in as much detail as Tolkein put in from the jump, theaters would need to hose people down every few hours to keep em awake.
The book is wayyy better than the movie, and I loved the movie. You'll apreciatte the movie ten times over when you finish The Return of The King. Great Read |

yes I loved the movie, one of the best if not the best I've ever seen. I really want to see the other movies/read the books but I don't have a lot of spare time on my hands. Recently I want to find images of the movie/book but I just can't find any really good ones (such as the intro images )

I think the movie is very loyal to the book. They had to cut some aspects and details, but the book was long and detailed, so they couldn't put every sinlge thing in the movie.
Anyway, a must read! You should get your copy now!!!! |

I have the books but I've only read the first part of the trilogy.
I must read the other ones before the movies come out! |
