1. Likeshine the Gryphon
Done for some art trade type thinggy.

2.Eep! A human!
My character, Azear, from a Pern based MUSH I play on. Yeah, I'm a nerd. Anyway, he's a bad guy renegade, my second attempt at drawing him. I didn't realize until later that his head is too big and his dagger is crooked. Ah well!

Crits, comments, flying rats asses?

The second one has a tad bit too many dark colors and its hard to distinguish from his body and the background but otherwise they are kickass.

Yes, it's a bit hard to look at the second one, 'cause it's really dark, but it seems ro be an ok pic!

And about the first one: is it me or the Gryphon looks a bit shy?

Both of the drawings are fantastic, and, yes, the colors with the guy blend in too well with the rest of whatever, but still, the drawing itself is amazing, and really, that's all that matters. And the gryphon thingy is cute.

Thanks for the input you guys!! I atually just coloured that one really fast... I wanted it to be dark because he's a 'bad guy'... I think I made it a bit too dark though!

Hee, yeah the girl who I drew the gryphon for said that she's 'shy upon meeting new people'... so I tried to make her a bit shy.

Likeshine is really quite cute

nicely fluffy and stuff like that. Not sure if Green is a natural colour for a Gryphon (I've only met the one once, but that was in the dark so I couldn't see), but it works for me

I see where you're comming from with Azear. His appearance fits the discription (and yes, I can see him. Unless that Natural Light stuff is reflecting off of my monitor - best keep it away from my skin methinks), as does the colour range. The way the light reflects off all of the right angles makes it look great (well duh). If his head is too big, its not overly noticable. And crooked daggers (and similar "mistakes") can be painted over by making a story up for it all. Like, when he was being all bad guy and regenadey, he Jammed it into a tree so hard that he bent it. Or Somthing.

Yes, green is not the usual colour for gryphons, but it looks good on it! It's pretty boring to have dozens of yellow/red/orange gryphons... surely green is a different choice. It makes the gryphon look more like a forest's creature, maybe.
