a good ol' metaphorical witch burning, or how I just seem to smoke somthing wrong

Occasionally I draw things which I never bother to release on the net because they're too weird. or too crap. This one is kind of an exception - I drew a picture in the summer that took me absolutely ages. True, only the middle of the pic was any good, but it really bugged me that I could find no reason to put it onto the net.

Then things got strange. Well... stranger. I trimed the bits of the pic which weren't relevant, then I started doing this swirley smokey kind of thing, then tried to make that look like people. Then it kind of worked. Kind of.

Only thing was, I was kind of non-plussed as to how what exactly is going on. Best not to ask, but I personally think it looks like the guy on the left is trying to burn the "witch" on the right. As for the "princess" in the middle... make your own story up. Then I threw an obligatory quote in at the end. Just to make sure I couldn't understand it at all

Apart from the fact I like a lot the character's outfit, I must stay I love the fact you put on it the layer with black... tribal-like? (don't know how to call them...) swirls and symbols that sort of describe a story. It's really cool!

I really really like it!! I like how you dont have a story for it, so people can make up their own!

I think the witch switched bodies with the princess to get revenge on the king/prince for banishing her from the kingdom... he doesn't know the witch really is the princess and after she returns to the kingdom he tries to kill her!

The idea behind this work is great: it's very interesting to give the viewer the option to make up his own story just suggesting it!

I must be dumb or blind... it took me ages to see the prince and the other interesting shapes you are talking about... I was wondering "Where are all these things? Are they talking about this pic or about another one?".

WOW! I totally love this, It just draws me in.
I feel like the princess is trapped by these goulish things and she's trying to figure out if it's all real or not, She has a kind of look of disbelief on her face.

Kinda reminds me of the bit in Labyrinth when sarah is in her brothers room and you see the goblins running around in the dark.

I love the layering of it.

Fantastic.
