Okay. This is starting a new game: First, talk to the guy near the elevator on the second floor to get your starter card set, then continue on with the plot until you come back from your Fire Cave test, then get MiniMog from the jogger dude. SAVE! The guy who happens to have the most Elynoyle cards also happens to be a very good player. Play until you have about 5 noyles, then continue on with the plot again. After you've accuired that many it seems the game senses it and starts thinning out his supply.
Also, you should take this opportunity to play as many people as you can, many of them have the Abyss Worm cards, which you can refine into Tornados and make for an easier middle game. Cheesy, yes, but effective. If you want to refine a Malboro Tentacle too, the fogey in the booth at the school entrance has the most plentiful supply.I've gotten as far as the first Laguna dream, when I get home again I'll post s'more. Oh, yah. MP

Turbo Ether
I'll probably have more by about 8 tonight (us pacific time). Note that this is getting all the special stuff [from the hintbook.. you know you got one ] at the earliest possible times, such as the GF Diablos. I also forgot to include getting special cards such as Quistis, Seifer, and Zell, but you should get those too. You can get them from the trepe groupie who's friend you stole all those noyles from, Headmaster Cid just after he gives you the magic lamp (exit from the screen then go straight to his office.. remember to save! He's a good player!), and Zell's mom anytime before you get on the train. She's pretty good, and only uses Zell sparingly. It is her son's card after all. Would you want to lose that? ^_^

Lol! ^_^ I loved Renzokuken. Hell, I loved the gunblade. When I first started on FFX (next game I got after FFVIII) I kept pulling the R1 trigger when Tidus hit with his sword. My friend Anthony looked at me like I was a total nutball.
Nei. *blinks* No, wait.. that's Phantasy Star. Nova. One of Kimahri's Rages.

Lol I guess its a bit of a shame that you can't do that with Tidus as well, but at least you've played FFX, its let to be released where I come from
![]() Angel Wing (Rinoa's limit break) I've got to admit I hardly ever use this limit break, I guess I hate the fact that I lose total control of her afterwards

Grand Mantis.
I hardly used Rinoa at all, actually.. my big three were Squall, Zell, and Quisty. *hardly used magic, either.. saved his spells for junctioning* Be back in a while, Meeting. >_<

The characters which I used most in FFVIII were Squall, Rinoa and Zell.

Protect
I've got to admit Selphie is my least used character, though I don't have a problem with her, like think she's annoying or something? I just don't really use her in battles

Tina (Terra : FF6)
Sometimes its not whether you hate a charecter, its just simply that there are others you like more, I kind of like Quina from FF9 but I rarely use him/her...

That's quite true the_artist, I find that I actually can't really hate any characters in any of the FF games I've played, though I sometimes think some are abit useless when fighting with them though

Selphie.
![]() I always preferred keeping with just the three main people you use. The final battles of FFVII were a real b*tch for me because of that... At least in VII though your unused characters leveled up slowly. >_<

Epitaph (FFIX monster)
Yeah true! I did find that my FFVII characters weren't too bad at leveling up, and the ones that I didn't use to often their levels weren't to low from the ones which I did use quite often

SOLDIER
Okay, starting from just before you get ready for the attack on the President's train, play cards with Watts until you win the Angelo card. He usually doesn't carry any noyles or Abyss Worms, so unless you just want to bulk up your regular card supply, don't play him any more. Continue on with the plot until you reach Galbadia garden, then go to the room with the three card freaks in it. Play with the female of the group.. excessively. *chuckles* She has a very good deck, but she's also a very good player, so be sure to save. ^_^ You can play this person for an entire set of level 6 cards (good for refining cool items if nothing else) and get about three noyles from her before the game seems to thin her supply out. Always pick them over any boss cards availiable, because once you've gotten one of all her level 6 cards, the quality of the decks she plays seems to drop. (level 3 cards or below)

*chuckles* I think the only reason I'm good at cards is on account of my ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder). Unless I'm biochemically altered by taking a Ritalin generic, I've got the attention span of a gnat. Means I'm good with numbers, though.
