meryl, how can you not want to have kids. A child to carry on your legasy, to be able to raise one of your own. You'll be missing out on so much.

I don't find the fact of not willing to have children so upsetting and I don't find upsetting the fact a woman chooses her mate also thinking about it either. Meryl is still young, she could change her mind later, but apart from that, having children is not something anybody is made for. It's not simply a question of "carrying on the legacy" as CC said. Considering it is the woman who has to give birth to the child and in most cases she also has the greatest resposibilities towards her children, it's better if the couple decides together what to do regarding this matter before getting seriously involved in a relationship. It's always easier for a man to say "I want/I do not want children", but in the end if a woman doesn't feel like becoming a mother, a man should respect her decision.

I know it's hard to believe, but I'm not joking. This one guy who knew my sister told her I looked 32 (and this happened when I was 16!). Nowadays though, some people say I look around 23-25. Guess I'm getting younger with age.

No, I won't be missing out on much because I don't really care for children. And believe me, I will not change my mind in the future. Ever since I was 13, I decided I didn't want kids because of all the responsibilities, the hassle, the pain of childbirth, etc. I'm sure this may seem cruel to you, but this is how I feel and Fortune stated it better than I did. I guess you can call me more of a business woman instead of a family woman. There are also deeper reasons, but I don't want to get into that because this thread will get off track.

I would love to have someone that likes me for me. Also meet someone that has the same interests as me.Bonus points if they can make me laugh. As long as we can have fun together, thats all that matters. If I could describe the person it would be that they have to be taller than me, a nice tan, dark hair and nice eyes. Also they have to have a great smile. I get all shy though when guys smile or look at me. I dont know why, I just get this weird feeling in the pit of my stomach. Hopefully I'll meet this Mr. Right.

If I was you, I would really talk to her if I had a chance, saw here somewhere, somehow. Talking to them and telling them stuff does not necessarily mean you will complicate their lives... as long as you don't go all dramatic and shit. But what if you told her you like her, love her, etc. and turns out that she feels the same? I don't think there's nothing to lose since you have nothing, in this case, I think. But you could turn the tables the other way around, maybe.
