Hmm ...I can say I feel exactly the opposite as you about X2. I thought the first one didnt wow me nearly as much (Still a good film). I thought the effects were much better as well as the plot in X 2. I mean come on, ending an action movie on top of the Statue of Liberty is just plain old cheezy

Yep Jubilee is in the movie....at least imdb says so Kea Wong played her. She must have had a small part...or an unnoticable one because I didn't notice. However she was one of my favorites...I just forgot about her.

Quote:
Actually, I think Halle Berry is okay for Storm...I wouldn't be able to picture anyone else doing this part, but Berry just doesn't seem to know how to act, IMO. But you are right that Berry is too girly to fit Storm, who actually is one of my fav. characters in the comics.
Well I don't know any other African-American actresses with as big of a name as her that could play the part and be ok. I don't think she is a good actress either. I think she got her actress of the year award (forgot the name) just because she is an African American.

Quote:
Apocoalypse...I think that would be rushing things a bit woulnt it. I didnt much care for him anyway. He was TOO powerful and no one should outshine Magneto. Besides didnt they beat him by trapping him in a force field on a space ship , then sending him off on an endless orbit in deep space....how exciting could that be on the big screen
Magneto is too good to be the ultimate bad guy. He doesn't have enough powers. Of course Professor X is also "evil" in a way (But most people don't know that). And I don't think Apocolypse is dead. Bad guys always come back...

However a movie with Sinister would make for a good movie. But I think they are going into the Phoenix story line next. After that one with Sinister would work out greatly.

Okay, for all you people who are wondering... Jubilee is in the movie. You see her as one of the kids that got captured by Striker and she's on the left of Professor X at the end of the movie.

I too, think that Mr. Sinister would be a good villain to see soon, as well as Juggernaut. Still, you people seem to be forgetting a bunch of villains that are very, very important in the X-Men universe...

... The Sentinels !

Ohhh yeah the sentinals. That would be a special effect artists dream having those bad boys romping around the streets of New York (Or Wherever). Werent the sentinals Created to capture mutants or something...hmm I have been out of touch with the X Men storylin for too long my memmory fails me. All I remember is that they were huge Redish colored robots who hunted mutants and they could shoot thier hands at people I think...heh. That would be cool to see them in a movie.

Seriously... you think that Wolverine actially found 'info' about his past in that place ? They didn't actually kill 2 birds with 1 stone... Wolverine has so much more to find out... and since all that 'evil Cerebro' thing was all invented ( not in the comics ), I think they were usin' it to make the plot more 'complex' and tried to involve more character in a part of the story where only '1' character would have been concerned...

They can always do Wolverine Tales ya know...
Spoiler: show
You misunderstood me. I was saying if they had him meet Lady Deathstirke there in the movie they could have had have a fleeting moment of recognition. (seriously how can you look at a woman that lovely from your past and not think you remember something.
About the 2 birds with one stone...you misunderstood that, too. I juswt simply don't think Wolverine's teamwork with the X-Men to stop the 2nd Cerebro threat and the confronting of Stryker and Deathstrike should have been rolled all into one. THey are very seperate stories in the comics. I am simply offering my opinion about something that bothered me. What bothered me is that the movie was so hollywoodized (eh who cares if it's not a word) to appeal to non comic reading audiences. I think it could have benn just as enjoyable to a mass audience done more truly to the comics.

So with all that said don't think I didn't still love the movie.

Red, you said that:

Quote:
... brainwashing Professor X AND the battle of Wolverine confronting his own past all in one place at the same time!
You talked about Logan confronting his past... but he barely did that in the facility. Sure, he battled a foe that he actually knows ( but doesn't remember ), but other than that, he didn't do much 'confronting' of his past... that's all.

Plus, you say that they shouldn't have put Wolverine's teamwork to stop Cerebro and his battle against Lady D. in the same place... but aside from the "how to get inside" part, he didn't do much teamwork... he roamed alone in the facility in search of Striker and ended up fighting someone else...

... also, I've read somewhere that Kelly Hu has signed to be in another X-Men movie, so it's not like all hope is lost that we'll get to see more of her and learn more about her history with Logan.

I think you took what I had said a little too quickly...
Just wanted to set things straight.

I saw the movie lastnight and it was really good. Very very nice action movie with some awesome storyline. Logan was amazing in the movie. But I liked Pyro's scenes, they were funny. But the movie ROCKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Spoiler!!!!.!!!!

Just wondering, who was that
Spoiler: show
"STEAL" guy
........ who offers help but didn't get the chance to do anything. One of the X-Men from the comics, who might be a main character in the next movie?..?

But trust me Matrix would be sooo much better. I just know it.

The "Steel Guy" was Collosus. Not a major X men but its nice to see him in the movie...his power could make for a good fight scene against just about anyone

How about a 'Colosus vs Juggernaut' fight in X3 ?

... about The Matrix:
One of the reason why I prefer the X movies more than the Matrix movies is because the characters in X are actually cool ! I never got into that 'long trenchcoats and black shades' style, I think it's kinda... dorky. It's hard for me to 'like' an action movie in which I don't like the main characters.

... but I guess that's just me.

Both series are pretty good, but dont compare to the good Arnold Schwarzeneger movies of the 80's in particular...

Err...no comment on that one

And as far as the X men vs Matrix thing goes id have to say I like them both almost equally. I know what you mean about the trnch coat and sun glasses thing...I mean it would be nice to atleast know WHY they chose to wear that. But they probably wont even be close when it comes to special effects..I was wowed by just like 10 seconds of a scene in a trailer (Where the guy is jumping from moving car to moving car) . X2's effects were very good but I mean thier are soooooo many cool things they can have thier characters do in the matrix. I mean..when you can manipulate the world around you in almost every way the possibilities are endless. Most people I know would say Matrix is way better but alot of that is just because thier are ALOT of people that think X Men isnt as cool because it is based on a comic book and they buy into the stereo type that comics are for nerds . I myself still like them both just about equally but I fear that Matrix reloaded might just be a little too wierd with those vampire type white haired people , but I wont know till I see it .

So I take it you like your Action Characters in tight spandex?

lol, I didn't see any "tight spandex" in X2.

BTW, I said the characters were cool, not their costumes, so:

I saw it last night and I would have to disagree with who said Wolverine didn't do much confronting his past. If Iceman hadn't masde that wall of ice between Wolverine and Stryker I believe we would have found out more of his past. Then there's when Wolverine threw his dogtag in the snow near Stryker, I believe he did that to show he didn't need Stryker to figure out more of his past and that he could do it alone. I also think Jean shouldn't return in the next movie because just like tiger said there are probably tons of people like me who don't believe she's dead. I haven't seen much of the X-Men show and I don't remember ever reading any of the comics so I forgot that Jean eventually turns into Phoenix and I had been wondering why she got a red aura around her.

Since I had finished watching the first movie I always wondered why Jubilee wasn't in it along with all the others. Did anyone else notice that David Hayter had a part in developiong the story?, that was the first thing I noticed watching the credits. About someone else who could have played storm, do you think Jada Pinket SMith could have done a better job? She's gonna be in Matrix Reloaded y'know.

Finally, I find it interesting there are all these people who analyze the movies they watch so closely.
