SOCOM (PS2) vs. Ghost Recon (XBox) - Page 2

Yeah Raven Shield has the option to see the gun, just like Counter Strike and Halo type of games, buts its been released on PC ONLY. But I read in the mag that Raven Sheild just might be heading towards Playstation2.

no it's xbox also. at least i think so well who care's im tired!

Nope, not till now. I Just saw the add, and it says "PC" only. I didn't see any Logos of Xbox and Ps2, but I did hear the news that it'll be coming to Ps2 before. It doesn't really intrest me for some reason. I love playing Rainbow Six games on the computer only (Or atleast I would love it on the computer, not on console) And I dont know why but I think the Ps2 version would suck as much as Ghost Recon.

Well...I'm getting Live, but not Ghost Recon. I played the game (my friend let me borrow it) and the guy strafe's way too slow. That's like...my most used technique, and if I can't use it, it will just piss me off. I mean...he totally stops moving, then strafe's insanely slow. Screw that game. UC, here I come!

Well, I dont know about the sites and all, but the ADD I saw was an official one, which didn't mention any other logo of any console, and the news I read about Heading towards Ps2 was in the Official Playstation Magazine.

Maybe it is coming to Xbox too (cause it will be sooner or later) but I believe its coming to Ps2 first.

And Suzuki, I have UC as well, and If I get Xbox live, we should team up or something.

Ghost Recon isn't a crappy game, but when I can't use my most effective technique, there is no way I can be competitive on the online game. So I'll just get UC and MechAssault maybe...

UC and Mechassault are the best Online games Ive seen on a Console, ofcourse Alongside SOCOM!

Also...I played UT for the Dreamcast...it was great. So I'm hella-hyped to play UC on XBox Live extensively...I've only played it on Live for like one match at a friends house.

MechAssault............Bah, that game is unbalanced. Plus I find it stupid that it returns you to the lobby after each game...........@_@

It's fun at times, but it's too mediocre in my opinion. I do hope that when they release the new content into the game, it'll be more balanced.

UC.........I'd rather play it on the PC. =P

As for UT, yeah that game was pretty amazing. I use to play it alot, online on the computer 2 years ago. And then I got a copy for my Playstation2, and man I really like that game on Ps2 as well.

And trust me, even if you play Unreal Championship offline MultiPlayer, its a killer! Superb!

Ive played that game alot, and now I have it already!

to play online for me it was a great sensation but what i don´t please myself was that SOCOM needs a broad band connection.

SOCOM should quite rightly be entitled to a broadband only connection becasue if people were connecting via 56k/ISDN etc it would lag within the game. Sony and the developers of SOCOM want the game to run as smoothly as possible remember? thats what gameplay is about? enjoying yourself. not getting caught up in lag.

Socom is broadband only.

Yeah, in europe sony is only gonna allow broadband connections for all the games, I guess they learned from the states( correct me if I'm wrong guys).

Socom is broadband only in the Sates aswell, but some games in the states you can play on a 56k modem, which does not making any sence when its so slow.

A thing about Ghost recon and SOCOM, is that graphics are scalled 10 on SOCOM and GR ain't. The virtual details are 5 stars and GR can't even compare to it, it is good but not as SOCOM.
