I Don't have "proof" of this, but I bet that Virgil and Dante from Devil May Cry are named before the main characters of "The Divine Comedy" (by Dante Alighieri) Dante, and his master and guide, Virgil. And I believe that some other aspects of the game are based on that book, but I can not assure any of this as I only read the part of "Hell" in the book, and I still have not beaten completely Devil May Cry

BTW, when I saw that Atari PC i thought "what a horrible PC" but then I think that the PS2 is so gorgeous Maybe the color akes a big difference. and maybe because it does not have that Floppy disk drive

Did you know the japanese meaning of the names of Fuujin and Raijin, the characters from Final Fantasy 8?

Fuujin means god of wind and Raijin means god of lightning.

Yep, I knew that one ^_^

and now I am even more sure about Vergil and Dante in DMC since it's been a while since I beated that game. I am sure they took out those names out from that book. And maybe to add a little bit more of info about DMC, (this is kind of stupid) but some of the staff actually travled to some parts of europe (I believe it was by teh mediterranean sea) as to find that baroque (sp?) architecture that you can appreciate in the game (mostly talking about the castle)
