Should be cool, although I sold it a while ago and depending on what its like I'd buy it when it comes out but it'd have to be a lot better than the PS1 version both graphics and gameplay wise.

where does square say anything about a FF7 remake at all? I'm actually beginning to wonder if the "Playstation Remake" thing wasn't an old April 1st Joke, taken far too literally: like this year's "announcement" of Chrono Break.

hehe... old thread ^_^

Square-Enix forums seem to think that they're not an April Fool's joke...

I'll look for some links though.

FFWA link.

Game Rankings link (somewhat dated)

well... i'll let the fact that this is a thread about FFVII-IX remakes (not sequels!) go, and talk instead about the one article that says anything new: the one from ffwa

I'm not in the habit of believing them (i swear they're unreliable), but the evidence is a little compelling: magazine shots, that show pictures that really don't fit all that well together (2x pictures of a Tifa model, 2 old style arts and an FMV which shows a girl completely unlike the style of the other pics, and not like Tifa at all)

then come along the other holes: no article in Magic-Box. No link to this article from the main page

oh and finally, read: https://ffwa.org/forums/showthread.php?threadid=33158

but of course, you knew that already

and as for "Square Enix Forums think...", 75% of the world's dip-sh**s converge on the Square-Enix Forums. Avoid! Avoid!

Edit; Forgot to point out that the Gameforms article is genuine: the possibility of a FFVII-2 was jokingly mentioned in light of FFX-2, yet nothing has come of it. (yet at least)

Actually, it was FFI(FF1) and FFII(FF2) in one package called Final Fantasy Origins for PSOne which was released this week, at least here in the states.

Anyway, I probaly wouldn't get a remake of FFVIII. But I would buy remakes of FFVII and FFIX because I liked them both much better than FFVIII, I just wasn't too into the characters.

Nintendo was suppose to make FFI and FFII in gamecube, and it suppose to be. Like you said Trunks, its just called Final Fantasy Origins. The thing about it, is that the game may hopefully, be in 2D, I kinda hope it does become that, but when they start remaking FFVII, I want it the same story, will of course, but better graphics, like RE1, RE2 and RE3.

Hope I helped a little.
