Okay, you're right. I guess they do want attention. I don't live in Chicago...I live approximately 2 hours away from Chicago.

My principal thinks that everyone should take care of their problems on their own and these "petty" problems are something very small that we should be able to handle. He deals with....well...dammit, I don't know. He's never around!! Don't worry about not being able to help Soul. At least you helped support me....that's enough.

My guidance counselor, Hadoken, is a real b****. You know how guidance counselors are...they'll just tell you to move to another seat or stand up for yourself. My counselor doesn't do sh*t, all she does is sit there and runs around with other people. Hell, she's not even good at taking care of schedules. She gets all frustrated and confused, so if you want to change classes, it takes forever.

That's really a good idea. Maybe I'll try that too. Okay, let's see....first, I'll try Mana's idea to ignore them and pretend not to be angry. If you say they're throwing paper on your desk, I have a good idea.

Take the pieces of paper that they're throwing, write little messages on them, and return them to the sender.

Some good messages would be,

"Jesus Loves Me."

"The Road to Sata is South."

"489239232."

"Super Duper."

"Pop goes 'Bang!' "

Pretty much anything that's really odd and short, should shut them up and preoccupy their minds with trying to figure out your mind. You'll also not have to tell them off verbally.

Hmm....those are odd. Maybe I'll try that too. I'm not sure what'll happen if I do that....maybe they might get confused, but I think the guy that I throw the paper to will just show his friends, and then they'll start bugging me even more asking, "What the hell is this suppose to mean?" I'm not trying to bash down any of your ideas, everyone, but....I know what these guys are like, and trust me....they're not the "thinkative" type that'll ponder on what the quotes mean. They just laugh and and continue mocking me using those quotes. For example, the guy that sits behind me, he threw this piece of paper on my desk. I quickly snatched it, then crumbled it up and threw it somewhere. They all started laughing and now, they call me the "Paper Muncher".

Mourdor you're right. I don't understand why these so called "Juniors" are still doing this. My God, it's so annoying. Like I said, I tried to tell my Chem teacher to move them, but he just nods and I'm the type of person that doesn't yell at the teacher or anything, because otherwise I'll get into a lot of trouble, even though it's not my fault.

They might think take what you do and turn it into something bad.
for instance, instead of helping the problem, it might make it worse by encouraging them to be more annoying.

Ah, many of these suggestions are quite good. However, you need to keep in mind that not all "bullies" are the same. True, if you ignore them, some will go away but other's simply won't. Also, if you haven't found a solution yet, it's time you do. You need to show them and the rest of the people that you won't tolerate being walked on. I know what it's like. I had this problem once. I was (still am) rather quiet and such so they obviously thought I was an easy target. They were wrong though. One day I got fed up and during class as they kept on having there joyous time, I said nothing. After class, however, I walked up to them and slammed one of my books into one of the guys' chest and told him to basically back off (not those words exactly). They were quite surprised and so they left me alone. I'm not the time of person to look for trouble and I'm not a bad student. But still, my self-respect goes above them. So, I think you need to find your own solution and stand up for yourself.

I think you've received enough comments, so it's too late to tell you mine. But when I had the same problem (we are really unlucky girls, it seems!) I acted in a very nasty way. For example one day they threw my whole person in the fountain near the school and they were always stealing things from my bag. And what about kicking my chair or punching my back during the lessons? Also, they liked a lot to laugh at me when I looked angry. Not talking about teachers, who asked me to leave the classroom in a couple of occasions for this reason, and I also got addictional homework to do because I was shouting at them during the lesson. And I got bad marks in Math because I started yelling at the teacher too in some occasions It was a month or two, or maybe more, that this story was going on, and I couldn't stand it anymore.

So, one day I took their books and added some comments here and there, then I used chalk on the coat of one of those "persons". When the teacher asked for a book, one of the guys gave her the book I commented previously and well, you can guess what happened

About the coat: it was impossible to clean it from the chalk's trails and the guy had to buy a new one

For the rest of my school career they have never tried to bother me anymore. And I must add, they kinda respected me after that day.

Mena, I'm sorry for what happened to you, and I'm really happy to hear you were able to get things settled. I could try to stand up for myself and try to be slightly physical, but, if I decided to use your tatic (slamming my book into all three guys) I know this won't work...these guys are just soooo immature, that if I do that, they'll just laugh and start mimicking me because they know I can't do anything else, and I was just "trying" to stand up. I could try it anyway, but I'll have to be careful (like Hadoken said) otherwise I could get in trouble for my actions. There are hall monitors everywhere and a lot of kids around who would start shouting "FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!" if they see just one TINY bit of physical action. My school is so small-town....

I think that you should open your eyes mourdor. I know exactly where Meryl is comming from. I take crap like that every day, from more people than you can imagine. Every day for me is hell, at one point or another. I'm a junior too, and though I'm a male, I still have to take that kind of sh*t everywhere I go. Even from people who don't know me. There are a couple of guys who pick on me and tell their friends to pick on me just to get a laugh out of it. They don't even know my name, but lbeing ike the ass holes they are, they do it anyways.

I can sympathise with you entirely Meryl. Right now there are these couple, oh I mean couple dozen of guys who like to give me crap like that all the time after school and in the halls.

What makes it worse is that everyone iun the school knows that I'm not a violent person and that no matter what they do to me, I wont do anything back. But since you are a girl, and a good student, I suggest that you kick 'em accross the face. You wont get in trouble, and I'm sure that they wont fight back. No one would ever fight a girl who is just defending herself. but for me, all have to say is shut up and I'm in danger of getting an ass kicking.

But what Mourdor said, there are a lot of sh*t heads in our school, and I've encountered them all. I'm a f*cking junior, and even f*cking freshmen piss me off, and make fun of me. And by now they know i wont fight back, so they spread the word to all of the other freshmen and sophmores in the school that I'm a pussy and that bthey should have some fun and be ass holes to me.

All together it makes my everyday life a living hell. But my high self esteem seems to keep me smiling and not reaching the point of taking matters into my own hands with a gun or something drastic like that.

In fact, I've had dreams whare things like that have happened, and it scares me a lot, because i think that it's my subconsience saying that I'm going to snap and kill someone.

I guess I could try to actually attempt to slap (or punch) the guys across their faces....but I'm just afraid of the reaction of everyone (including my crappy teacher) after I do so, because I don't talk, yell, laugh, or anything while I'm in school. When others see me in this state, they usually see me as quiet, wise, and mature. I'm just afraid that my teacher will see that I do have a violent streak and send me to my dean, because "good students shouldn't behave this way" and they might think that I have a mental problem. You know, like those kids who cause school shootings, because they're always picked on, so they're taking their revenge on the school. I don't want them to see me that way, because teachers talk......and when they talk, everything gets out. Sooner or later, all the teachers will be watching me extra carefully, to see if I outburst or snatch out a gun or something.

Well, I'm glad to hear that you still smile and your self-esteem is very high. But, about your dreams, you could be right; it could be your self-conscience telling you that you need to let out your anger otherwise you might do something terrible to others....or even yourself. This is why I try not to mess with anyone, so that way they'll ignore me. It's been working fine, but now, all this crap has to happen. I've been picked on when I was in elementary school, and it stopped during 6th grade, but when I entered 7th, all these kids just messed with me. But, I just ignored them, and they did stop. And now, I haven't had that much problems until now. The worse part is the teacher wouldn't do anything about it. Goddamn teachers, you know? Even in elementary school, they don't do shit. Even if you didn't, I know there are probably tons of people getting picked on at school besides me, so I'm not really surprised about your info, but yet...I also am.
