The costumes of the FFX group are very good, but: Lulu ain't very Lulu-esque, Auron seems to be waiting for retirement, Yuna looks more like a 35 years old woman than like an innocent teenager.. the only one I really like is Kimari
The Lain guys are freaky, but I don't remember the faces of the original ones, so they look decent to me. But I must admit they look better than most of the stuff we had, so yes, we can consider ourselves happy, ha! |

Cosplaying, being Japanese, helps a lot. As somebody else mentioned (don't remeber when or who), it doesn't mean your costume will be perfect. Anime characters and many videogaming characters too, are designed and created keeping in mind the frame and the looks of Japanese people (not Asian in general, but Japanese), so it's obvious they'll look better. Adding to that, I still have to see some ugly Japanese girl, being honest...
