Yeah, sure, I've actually stopped playing video games right now. Haven't touched a controller since I beat FFX-2. Sometimes, you just have to have your priorites set straight, and for me, video games aren't anywhere in the list. I play games when I'm bored, but I don't let them become a part of my lifestyle, like some of the people said here. After all, what kind of person would I be if something as trivial as video games were one of my life's priorities?
I volunteer at a hospital, work at my University, spend time with my sweetie, and I can say that I damn sure wouldn't substitute video games for any of those things. So, yes, I've considered quitting games many times, without regret, I have stopped playing right now, and perhaps I'll never pick up a controller again... who knows? Like I said, I won't die without video games, and there are so many better things to do. Go out and explore the awaiting world people!

Hmm... wonder why I havent replied to this topic earlier.
But no, I never considered quitting. Main reason being I really dont game that much. Last time I really sat down and played a video game (I'm talking about an hour or more) is a little after christmas when I finally got a chance to sit down and play FFX. So I really don't have a reason to quit playing games, it hasnt taken up that much of my life. But using the computer on the other hand...

Tee hee... no offense, of course. After all, this is comming from someone who has their hands virtually glued to a controller. So, erm... no, probably not. |

No i will most likely never quit, why? because videogames is some damn good entertainment. It's something i have been doing since i was 4 years old and will continue to do so. I plan to even keep playing when i have children and pass gaming down onto them (not forcefully of course) gaming is something for me that will always be fun and something i will always do.
and there's not a damn thing anyone can do or say about it

Hmm... quit... i am trying to quit smoking.. quit doing cocaine... quit drinking.. quit pot... Sex.. not likely to quit ever
I love video games almost as much as i love my women... well in some cases more but hey.. what can i do... So the answer is no.. i have waaaay too much $$ tied up in it to quit now... plus it is one of the only things that still gives me joy on a regular basis... I mean what isnt to enjoy about splattering someones brains in an enclosed hallway in manhunt... or pistol whipping some smart ass neighbor kid in halo... i mean... without video games.. i would be dead i believe... so... yeah.. i am not gonna quit any time soon

exactly trunks and if you quit now, that would be $k's spent not being spent on. Thats one hell of a collection.
But I mean, why do we want to give up the only time in our lives where it is purely fictional FUN. I emphasise fictional for the stupid kids out there who aren't responsible to remember that (GTA3 court case anyone). But to give up video gaming to me would be to give up religion.
