I'm sorry meryl. It happened in some occasions to never get back things people borrowed from me, and it really made me unhappy, especially when some of these things were cds or books I liked a lot. I could never lend anything to somebody I don't know though. I hope you eventually will be able to solve your problem.

Well, the woman and her kids and husband finally re-emerged tonight. My sister and I expected that woman to come up and say something, anything about "Cooking Mama." Oh but she didn't because they've only kept it for 3 months and all, silly me. So when my sister delivered one of her dishes, she had to ask her how the game is. And this is what that insufferable woman said to my sister:

"It's soooo much fun! We'll give it back as soon as we're done playing with it because we have to wait until the kids go to bed and then we play!"

.........Excuse me? Wait, did we lend her "Trauma Center," "Red Steel," "Scarface," or "Splinter Cell"? Funny, I don't think so...and "Cooking Mama" has an E-rating....so what kind of lame excuse is that?! Here is a woman that allows her kids to run rampant around the restaurant where we're serving hot meals and soups and whatnot...here is a woman who lets her kids scream and shout to no end....but are you telling me to believe that she sends her kids to BED for an E-rated game?! I cannot believe she expects us to buy into a stupid excuse like that. Why couldn't she just be honest and just flat-out say that they're not done playing because it's a lot of fun and they'll return it as soon as they're done. Hey, if they say that then no problem...at least they acknowledged that they've kept it but ONLY because they're still playing it. But no. And sure, the game may be a 2-player but it's not like they can't take turns! So I really don't think she'll shoo them away for a game that doesn't have an ounce of violence...oh, unless the different ethnic cuisines freak the kids out since the entire family only eat Asian foods because they can't bring themselves to experience other types of foods.

People like this really need a punch in the face...or even worse.

But anyways, this situation is obviously a goner but thanks for all the nice words, guys.

Meh, currently thinking on what to do. (where to go.... and a rant.)

Choices... Go to Atlanta for college, join the navy, join the air force.

I've always had suspisions in joining anything dealing with the military because I never did want to risk my life for it. I have (had) a fear of being drafted, called to war and stuff.

I've never had a fear of boats, but I don't trust planes. (Never been on an airplane before.) All sorts of superstitions about planes... My family are planning to go to Florida sometime in September. And that would be my first experience in flying, but that's as far as it goes. All they do is plan things and never really execute it. Mainly because everybody is busy. (For the most part it's all talk and no action) But when looking at these offers that the navy and air force dishes out, it becomes really tempting. And then my cousin is in the air force, so he could probably get me in or something.

As far as Atlanta goes. My plan is if I go, to ask my sister's friend mother if I could use her address so I don't have to pay the high tuition price for living out of state. But that might backfire seeing how I don't know if she'll let me stay there until I get situated and whatnot. And then I don't know anybody else that lives there. Heck, I don't know anybody that lives out of the state of Michigan.

All I know is that I'm trying to get out of Michigan. This state is getting more stupid as each day come along. Not to mention that Michigan is in an all time low when it comes to jobs. We're losing jobs, and when they say that we have new jobs available, no one is getting hired. Cost of living is getting stupid. (And they're closing majority of the public schools. Tryign to over crowd charter schools... It's getting pretty hecked here.) We would move out the state now, but had to file for bankruptcy, which seems to have put us in a deeper bind than what we were already in.

Feels good to get that off my chest.

Sonic Youth were good yesterday. What definitely wasn't good was the sun that turned my arm into roasted mortadella. And the people who kept on telling me they wanted to remain seated during the whole gig and wanted everybody around them to remain seated as well, so they could see. They were nasty, too. On a brighter note: my eardrums are ok today. Yesterday I couldn't say the same thing.

PS: I didn't know Kim Gordon is 54... and Lee Ranaldo's hair are all of a creepy silver color... and Thuston Moore has to wear eyeglasses on stage? God please, don't make them any older

Not thinking about much, just looking foreword to getting out of the house tomorrow and seeing a movie. Also thinking about the decent amount of homework that was given to me in June that I haven't even touched yet. I procrastinate like there's no tomorrow, doing school for the summer and only having July off kind of sucks. But when I have had a long and hard road when it comes to education you have to do everything you can to catch up and just finish it..

Here's an update on the games that were lent out:

It's been a while since that guy and his wife came in and tonight, he called to reserve a table because he's bringing friends in. My sister came up with a lie so she said that I had a friend who wanted to borrow Mario Party 5 and if he could bring it when he comes in tonight. And this is what she told me he said on the phone:

"*laughs* Oh yeah, I have a tendency to forget! I borrow a lot of things from other people but I just seem to forget to give them back! It ends up they have to ask me for their stuff! *laughs* Okay, I'll bring the game tonight, we were done playing with it a long time ago anyway"

Uh huh...so it makes perfect sense to borrow a bunch of stuff from people if you just "happen" to forget to return them, right?

Well, he did return the game but it was not in the same condition when it was given to him. I take very good care of my games and the covers...they are practically in pristine condition even after I had them for years. So when we got it back I saw, literally, a layer of dirt and wear on the cover. The cover's plastic had surface scratches making it looking very foggy and worn out, there were some sticky fingerprints around the upper and lower areas on the back, and the disc's underside had a few fingerprints on it!

I know we lend it to him last November but come on! How the hell did it get so dirty and disgusting like that?! What, did he wrestle with it on the ground outside? Did he use it as a drink coaster, what?! So, while I'm pretty sure some of the damage was done by him and his wife, I'm positive now that he really did lend it out to other people or allowed some kids to play it whenever they invited friends who have kids to their house. Now I'm going to have to try to clean off all the grime or buy an empty GC case to switch it out.

Well I'm glad you got the game back, too bad he got it all wore down like that. Well at least the game itself isn't scratched. I once loan a cd to a friend and one day came over to his house and the cd(not the case!) was lying under a tablepole(???). That was the last cd he ever got from me.

forfeit yourself to time.. its too powerful to try and manage... just let it flow and do your best with the time given to you.

thinking i wish the bass in the bathroom stereo wasnt next to my headboard, and that my roomate wakes up at 630 am to work.

Cats are like Gremlins: if you don't pay attention, their number will keep on increasing forever.

PS: anybody needs a cat? It's 100% tabby with very long and soft fur.
