This is my version of this wallpaper, posted in the November desktops threads. I wanted to add to it something that tasted of autumn, but I'm afraid I ended ruining the beauty of the shot, that was simply perfect

the colours look great, but the effectiveness of the original is lost... The eyes are one of the main causes of this. They look glazed over, and the "veiny" effect induced from the leaf gives him a demonic effect (though in the background, this is a great effect. also, clean skin was somewhat instrumental in creating an illusion of femininity in the original). The feminine curves of his face have also been lost a bit into the background...

It still looks very autumny though

Actually, it's not the leaves only. I used a cracks brush to give a slightly decayed and old feeling to it. The character in my original intentions had to be sort of incarnation of Fall, that's why I decided I had to make it look a bit scratched, but well, if it looks demonic, it was a complete failure Sadly the decay ruins the perfection of the shot, as I said. But something had to be changed and with changes something was lost. I suppose the two images represent two different things, so even if the image is the same, I shouldn't compare them as if they were the same. I-don't-know

I don't see the demonic aspect in it. The colors are nice!
