Pierce is done... so who next???
Okay.. so me and my friends have been talking about this one a lot lately.. word round the camp fire is that brosnan is done with the role of 007... now.. what we cant decide is.. who the hell should take his place.. who is an actor worthy of the role and can actually do well with it?... lets discuss and argue and beat eachother up and see who thinks it should be....
the little girl in me says johnny depp... but he is far too talented for that role and to be tied down by a 'franchise'... but.. i just love to see him on film

I thought they'd already decided on someone?
I know it was shortlisted to a few a while back... One was Dougray Scott.. he wouldn't be bad. or Julian McMahon was another option..although he's aussie and I think bond should be british or scottish. Personally I thought Robbie Williams would make a great Bond! although I'm not sure what his acting abilities are... Although I'm not a Bond fan so really I don't care either way.... ...what am I doing in this thread ![]()

I want to see a different James Bond for a change, how about Chris Rock or Samuel L. Jackson? Maybe Tom Green or Owen Wilson?
If they want to go want to go with the traditional english type why not Adrian Edmundson or Rik Mayall?

I'm sure everyone feels the same way too.I think many people favored that Clive Owens guy...he's the dude in the new film "Sin City" and that servant in "Gosford Park." I don't like him though... Too bad Brosnan is done, as I thought he was the perfect modern Bond. But I highly disagree with Depp...he's not the Bond-type plus the role isn't "quirky" enough for him.

If Harrison Ford can be resumed for the new Indiana Jones, Connery can be back for Bond movies! BTW, David Niven played Bond too, in Casino Royale, a parody about Bond movies. He looked a lot older than Sean Connery looks now... But even Niven in a parody was better than all the Moore-Brosnan-Lazenby-Dalton-etc.! So, is age that important? Connery is still perfect! Let's sign a petition!

Sean Connery IS James Bond. I identify him so much with 007, that I am completely unable to enjoy any Bond movie without Connery. I mean, everytime I see Brosnan's boring face, I can't help but... laugh. To his credit, I think Brosnan was much better than Moore or (hahaha) Dalton.

What's the name of that actor who was in Transporter? If they could get him to play a more "proper" (as the brits would say) character he would be PERFECT. Think about it.

You mean Jason Statham?
I agree that he'd make a pretty good Bond. So would Samuel L. Jackson. =D I thought Brosnan was the best, then again my first Bond movie was Goldeneye. |

But i still dont know... i do like the idea of statham... he is a really good guy .. but he'de have to grow some hair or something.. lol.. every role i've seen him in is bald... so... yeah... but i also like the idea of Mr. Connery again too.. sure he is older. but maybe they could play it off to where he has a kid.. i mean.. once in all those women.. did bond use protection??? i think not.. hes gotta have at least one illigegitamate kid to take his place... or something like that... yeah i'm done for now

if seriously want to go into it, I think Pierce should have one ore shot at it, and as for a new Bond, I would want a mixture of actors.....
I would want the acting skills of Willem Defoe and Harvey Keitel, the look of lets say Colin Ferrell mixed with vin diesel(for some bulk cuz colin is scrawny. and th movie should be directed by Quentin Tarantino.....lol that would be quite a show..... and the Bond girl should be either kate Hudson or Uma Thurman. |

I agree with those who said Connery is THE Bond. When I think of Bond I have his face in mind.

I liked the guy right before Pierce. The guy who was also in the new Loony Toons movie. He made a really good bond, I thought.
Shawn bored me to death, and Pierce was decent in goldeneye and tomorrow never dies (which both had really good video games I might add). As for who'm should be the new bond, I'm not sure.
