Knights of the old republic or Jedi academy

Both of these look really good, which one is better though any thoughts, advice, warnings?

Dude....listen to me when I say this . KOTOR HANDS DOWN !. I played Jedi Academy...it was...shallow at best. If you havent played KOTOR yet ITS A MUST OWN TITLE. Jedi Academy is a maybe rent title. You wont regret getting Knights, I promise you that.

Im a lil worried about the sequal though..a nearly completely different team of developers is working on it sence Bioware was soo busy with thier other titles. Also they started working on it long before KOTOR 1 was released. But fortunoutly they say the gameplay wont change. It will basically be the same game with some extra classes and what not. And they promised X box live content alot sooner as well. Within the first week or so they said. But this games good enough without additions for me to buy the sequal. Its not due out for atleast a full year..but its never too soon to start drooling

I haven't played KOTOR (SW Galaxies is taking up way too much time). I was not impressed with Jedi Academy.

I don't think you can compare them though. KOTOR is an RPG game whereas JA is more like Doom (after all it is the sequel to Dark Forces).

I have heard nothing but good things about KOTOR though so I'd suggest that.

Sure they are. Any games can be compared if your looking strictly at the core gameplay aspects such as the ones professional reviewers use to hand out scores. KOTOR got MUCH better ratings from most any reviewer than Jedi Academy

KOTOR is by far the best Star Wars game to ever be created. I'm actually playing it right now. I only have a few more hours left on my file and i'll have beaten 3 times. Beating it at least twice is recommended so that u get a chance to play all of the game's different scenarios and situations, as well as seeing all of its endings. As far as JA goes, mediocre at best, definitely not worth 50$ though.
