David Bowie!
Yeah, I don't have much faith in today's new music; it seems to be going all into that yelling angry music, or rap, or bubble gum music. What are the Yeah Yeah Yeah's like Faile? |

I didnt know David owie was new to the scene? So if were going with favourites Robbie Williams leads the way... for everyone. He doesnt sing any old thing - he has an ART to it (and this does not apply to the other thread Gadzoox)

The Yeah yeah yeahs are trashy, in a refeshingly cool way. they are reminsicent of early 90's alt. america.
i have the same fears about new music though. before the YYY album i hadn't bought a new album in months. Bowie is cool though. I really want to hear life on mars? right now but my cd is away.

I would say that Ra is the best new band I heard along with memento. All those other critic acclaimed bands are tiring and unoriginal. The strokes,The vines,The white stripes,The insert name here, among others.Nothing original.Damn those corporations getting ahold of the youth today with all that crappy music.Trying to make all those bands seem cool when they can't play with the talent other bands can that don't get attention.Another thing that gets me mad is that damn rap.Rolling stone and every critic rave about the next new rap artist when seriously it's nothing new. Then a new rock band comes out they discourage it if doesn't fit there views
. Anyways i'll stop the rant.Check out Ra and Memento.

I can't stand Yeah yeah yeahs! Only because the girl is so annoying!
Although their not technically new elsewhere, they sorta are over here so I would say Good Charlotte or Evanescence! But Daniel Bedingfield is awesome! altho he's not a band! ![]() Piggle ![]() x x x x Edit ~ Have to add 12 Stones! Found out bout them yesterday and d/l some off their stuff! It's good! The lead singer is also on the Bring me to life song by Evanescence! << That video is fantastic!

I think there are lots of new bands that are REALLY good. Some might not neccesarily be new though..but ive certainly never heard of them till just recently. So In no particular order here are the bands and in my mind thier best song.
1. Seether- "Needles" 2. Theory of a Deadman- "Nothing Could Come Between Us" 3. Revis- "Cought in the Rain" 4. Shine Down- "Fly From the Inside" 5. AFI- "Girl's Not Grey" 6. Finger Eleven- "Sad Echange" THEORY OF A DEAD MAN is probably my most favorite of the list

That's kinda odd, I always pictured that magazine as a rock magazime for some reason. All I really care is that I like rap music and proud of it. I haven't seen a good new band since Linkin Park, I've got a favorite artist though. But you guys probably wouldn't want to hear it.

Lets shorten up the posts you two I dont have all day to read that
![]() Yeah Trunks I mean,...not to offend you but calling rappers artists is kind of false I think. Most of them wouldnt know a peice of art from a Bently (Wait I did a post saying you cant say what is and isnt art..Im a damned hipocrit now..oh well) . The majority of rap music has negative messages such as "Girls are Hoes" or "Moneys all that matters" or "F*ck the Police" or well the list goes on and on. And the vast majority of rappers cant sing at all...I mean look at Jay-Z. Ive heard tons of black guys with better voices who didnt look like hidious freaks . Jay-Z is talentless..all he can do is rhyme...and I know 3 year olds who can do that. And the case is pretty much the same for most main stream rap artists thier songs suck and they get played becasue Black people are obsessed with thier own culture and thier minds are closed to anything else. Alot of white people listen to it because thier parents dont want them to and they think it makes them look cool...which it certainly doesent. Im glad I wasnt born to the average urban black family for that reason. Id prefer not to be ignorant (Yeah Im racist get over it . I have my reasons) NARRATOR : Uh ohh..Vicious has said something controvercial once again in a post that was SUPPOSED to be about Good new bands !. How will the others re act...has he finally gone TOO FAR !?. Stay tuned till next time folks this should get interesting !

Watch it. I'm too tired to realise whether what you've said there is racist or not, but please if it is keep it away from these forums.
as for your tastes on music, that's allowed. we are all free to debate music, but no discrimanation of people upon race please, regardless of what you feel keep that to yourself. |
