Is this game a good buy?

I'm sorry if this is already posted. Is this game worth buying, for just single player? Give me some good pros and cons. I cant trust what the game producers say

they'll tell you anything to get you to buy it.

I dont have the Network Adapter still, and I play this game every now and then for hours. Its just one beautifully realistic game. Controls might look hard in the beginning but once you have mastered them, this game is really gets on. Excellent game buddy. And I love that "talking to AIs team mates" which in my opinion is wonderful.

how are the maps? are they really.. explorative? and the missions, are they your basic hostage/recon/assassinate?

You know, I dont mind explaining all that, but you should really check this out. Its one excellent thing to read and to know about this game.

The missions are basic, IMO. I played th single player for about a week and a half until I got the Network Adaptor, and from late August to now I have been playing SOCOM Online for at least an hour a day.
