What are you doing this Wednesday?
The only thing I'll be doing out of the ordinary is not turning on my TV to watch the news, which I usually do every day. I'm strongly opposed to the commercialization of the date of Sept. 11th, as well as any TV coverage of the memorial service at the site. Advertising that a channel is going to have 'round the clock coverage of "ground zero" for a month ahead of time is one of the worst forms of disrespect I can imagine. I mean, is this a tribute or the Oscars?
This is all just my opinion, and if you feel differently I of course don't have a problem with that, I'm just mainly wondering what you're doing differently, if anything. |

Unfortunately, I'll be at school and it's a fact we'll be talking about it the entire day, so I really can't escape it. At least it's better than class.

Well
I go to school two blcoks away from the site, so everyday I have to deal with bootleggers and tourist comin to gawk. I deal with every mornin when I get off the train. I won't set aside a day because as of 9/11, I'd already observed for one whole year. Maybe afterward I'll go to the memorial on 14th st, but as of right now-I don't want to do a thing! |

Other than my school asking the different grade levels to wear the patriotic colors (Freshman-red, Sophomore-Blue, and so on), I don't think I'll be doing anything out of the ordinary on that day.

I'll probably be doing nothing different exept getting annoyed at all the people crying about 911. in fact, i've been thinking about wearing a shirt to school that says " I love Bin Laden" but i don't know if i will.

Everyone seems to be pretty much sick of the corporations of America milking it for everything they can get out of it. I think that's the reason the patriotism didn't last, you can only take so much of the same ol' boo-hoo bull****(forgive the wording) before you get fed up and say "enough is enough already".
I don't know why, but it's almost reassuring to hear that everyone else is also as sick of it as I am. |

News reporters have always sucked to me. They always feed from thart kind of tragic events... they respect no one's privacy nor dignity. And what solid s. said, it's more or less like watching such a tragic thing again and again, it's just ridicolous... just let go of that s***, it's something awful and horrible, why would people want to remember it? I know that whenever something horrible happens to me, the first thing I want is to forget about it. But the problem is that this arsehole never remember what really is good.

I'll be at school, and probally have to listen to all of that boring sh*t that they insist on reminising about all during the whole f*cking day. But that's what the disk man is for. But then of coarse, i wont be able to watch tv, because i'll have to be annoyed the hell out of with all of the gay ass news castsm saying that remembering what happened is a must see, and will get great publicity. So i'll just tell them to shut the f*ck up for a day, turn on the ps2, and play away the day, till the next, where it'll all be back to normal. Yay.
