Sales figure wise it will and this cannot be contested never do as good ad the PS2. Games wise its had a slow start just as sony did and its online strategy is looking alot better than sony's . On top of the costs for games(10.00 a friggin month for FFX1, hardrive, adapter, many with cable modems would have to fork over 180.00 for a router. But I think the difference maker will be the sales. There are tons and i mean tons of hardcore playstation fans out there that would never turn thier backs on a sony system. I however will refuse to buy the ps3 if it doesent have 4 controller slots and a built in hard drive. Anyways theres no way that the anti X Box Japan is ever gonna buy into a microsoft system and for that I thank them. And keep in mind that rivh people dont just throw there money away, if gates continues to take serious losses due to its failed jappanese market and its not so great US market, Gates if hes the smart businuss man that I know he is will drop it. Unless he is intent on its staying around. But all and all I say scew X Box, screw Halo !

Congradulations, spoken like a true fanboy! Man, I too wish Sony were the only console out there, then the console market could stagnate and there would be no innovation due to no competition! Wouldn't that be great?

anyways, as for the box's slow start, it had more games available at launch than the ps2 did at launch and after only a year is projected to have at least 200 games in its library... way more than the ps2 had after a year. And its also not like you have to choose one console over another, I know tons of people that have expanded their horizons and bought multiple gaming machines!

The Xbox has all the things a great console needs: Innovation, Power and 3rd party support. The only solid piece of arguement the ps2 has right now over the xbox is that there are more games out for it... and that is only because it had over a years head start...

Grow up a little or do some reading before you post stuff like this.
