Anticipating a whole heap of football gaming during the World Cup, Sony has produced a set of official PlayStation footie boots for your fingers

A few years ago Nintendo released special Mario Party gloves to stop the company getting sued by angry Americans who got slightly sore palms due to overenthusiastic joystick-waggling. Now Sony has produced its own piece of gaming apparel - a pair of mini football boots that will no doubt enhance your Pro Evo ball-curling skills as well as making you look unbelievably cool.

This bold fashion statement is a Japan-only promo item at the moment, which is a bit of a shame. Until they make it to this country, a pair of standard doll's shoes will have to do.

I don't really play games enough to necesitate shoes for my thumbs, but that's still really interesting, and a good idea, if there is enough of a market for it.
