my stuff is dark guys? O_o what makes you say that? I usually try a lot of glows and stuff like that but hmmm would it look better more shiny?

Noooo... dark IS good, it suits the style well. By darkness I think we're referring to the background more, rather than the details themselves : the contrasts between the two always look just right...
