Music that makes You.
Hey.
Well, i just wanted to know..what is the music that makes you feel confortable when you are unconfortable, the one that makes you at ease when disturbed or the one that makes you plainly go nuts? whats that tune that makes you remember who you are? that cd/song that reminds you of that time...that makes you remember memories, those nostalgic times? like the time you did something and that music was playing when you where doing so? If you dont understand..heres my point: What is that music that you can't deny its for you, the tune that just can't let go of when you start listening to? I have too many to name...but theres this one that makes me feel confortable: U2-Electrical Storm U2- Walk on U2- Still havent found what im looking for Saliva- Click Click Boom And those are the ones on the top of my mind. |

Absolutely anything by Creed or Metallica. Being my two favorite bands they have whatever I need depending on what mood i'm in. Other that that I will play guitar to dwell on my feelings and such .

I don't know about feeling comfortable. Feeling comfortable for me depends a lot on the moment I'm listening to a certain song, it's not because of the song in particular way (even if there are songs that I particularly like to listen to in certain occasions). There are songs that make me feel comfortable though, I admit it.
One of them is a song that give me a great sense of peace, which is Ceremony by the New Order. Many Smashing Pumpkins songs are as powerful to me. And lately, the White Stripes too, but not as much as the above two. As for songs that are close to describing myself, there are tons. Every song I love says something about myself (yes, we love ourselves in art, mainly). Let's say, which songs would I like to have written to talk about me? Posting a list would be impossible, so once again I have to be boring and repeat the same bands names: Joy Division, Manics, The smiths, The Cure (plus the Pumpkins also mentioned above). That's it, but I'm sure something important is missing |

When I'm upset, I like a lot to listen to electronica, stuff like Massive Attack or Lamb or even some Depeche Mode. Listening to ballads or similar things I'd be bored and even more upset I found Bjork to be very helpful too!

All music pretty much works for any mood with me... well all MY music anyway. There are probably types of music that i pretty much wouldn't listen to. I tend to be very thoughtful and philosophical when listening to Faithless (particuarly Reverence), trying to chill out when listening to just about anything by Royksopp (So Easy just makes it all seem... so easy...). And when i've gone temporaily insane (ie. i'm nostaligic and playing Counter Strike and Science & Industry for some god known reason), I'll be playing Gorillaz. Thankfully, that doesn't happen that often

Comfortable when I'm not? Hmm.. Most of Mozart's stuff.. Bach.. Bethoven (Ode to Joy).. classical is what really soothes me, that and Celtic tunes.

TOOL has the ability to fill me with all sorts of emotions from hate to love. and because they are so damn good the emotions are intense. Here is a list of things that make me puke.
1. Anything trying to push religion, if someone wanted to follow a religion they would do it by choice. 2. Rap, the last thing I need to hear when I'm feeling down or pissed is a guy talking highly of himself, bad mouthing women, the cars that he has, his gold chains or teeth, his gat, or his money. By the way how do you get paid for talking trash about people that have a lot of talent, because I could be a rich man. 3. Anything by Fred Durst. 4. Anything Fred Durst is involved with. 5. Just hearing Fred Durst wine makes my ears bleed. 6. Country Music except blue grass because they play from their heart and not for money. 7. Fred Durst I just wanted to make sure I made this one clear. |
