Hmmm......my parents don't understand anything that I say (and believe me, I'm not lying) only because they still see and treat me as a kid. My entire family is filled with egos, so whenever I try to tell them something that I am sooo sure is right, they never admit it! In their hearts, they know I'm right, but since they feel stupid to be proven wrong by a "child", they brush it off and move onto another topic and completely ignore me. Either that, or they continue to fight until they feel like they're right. Pisses the hell outta me! Then, I can't say anything more, otherwise they'll say something like, "How old are you? Are you three? Why don't you grow up?" How ironic too, because whenever I brush off the topic, and they keep going, I can't say anything, otherwise I'm being disrespectful.

everyone in my family has a different opinion on each subject. that makes debates last very long. so i usually dont argue with anyone in my family unless i feel its an important topic.
I dont have time to just sit around and try to prove a point to them.
its the same for one of my bro in-laws. he just yacks and yacks all day long!
he turns everything someone talks about into some sort of long ass lecture.
and i know that most of my family doesnt care what he says, and they`ll just nod along to be polite.
so i find myself just goin "uhuh, yeah... oh, ok.. sure.." and just nodding my head. but i`m actually not even paying much attention to him. lol
he`s wrong at times, but he just yacks on and on even though he`s wrong. its soo damn long, that it ends in me not even giving a damn anymore, and goin "ok, ok. i get it", and just goin someplace else before he starts up another lecture.
I dont think anyone has enough patience and that long an attention span to listen to him. its not that we dont like him, he just talks to much. and everyone has got something else more important to do, other than listening to him talk about an unimportant subject.
the only person with the guts to yell at him is my sister(his wife) lol.
She`ll go "shut the f*** up, no one cares" lol(she tends to be a bit moody)
there are a few conversations where we actually do listen to him though.
but thats a bit rare.

If I know I'm right on a subject...I let the world know it...but there's always a piece of you that's unsure of yourself, and you feel restrained from further arguing because what happens if you were wrong? Now that's some embarassing crap when you've been arguing with your friend for over 10 minutes yellin about whether so and so was in that movie or song and it turns out they were right...one of the more suckier times of life...

I agree with Rei and Trunks: there are some people who will never admit they're wrong, even if it's really evident. In cases like this one, I don't care if they trust me or not, even if I admit talking to them when they think they're right and they're not it's a bother. All that counts is that I know I'm right and I'm satisfied with myself.
