How long have you been playing games?

I've been playing videogames since about the age of 4, so 10 years for me. I still remember the first time I ever played one. It was Asteroids (I think) and it was on our old Atari 2600. Since then, no ones been able to keep my hands away from a controller .

I got Nintendo with Mario/Duckhunt when I was hardly old enough to realize what it was... but I played that, and tetris, and Megaman, and Zelda... those were the good ol' days. I've never been into video games as much as I am now though.

We got our first Atari 2600 in 1982. Before that I lived at the arcade.

6 to 9 years I started out with a gold cartridge based system in europe (I forget the name) it played ninja turtles, some weird type of street fighter, and that's about it =P

Well, during my toddler years, I played a little bit of SNES and Sega Master System here and there. But I didn't really get into gaming that much until the fourth grade, when I played FF7.

My first Gaming console was somthing like a Spectrum : though green screened and made by amstrad, it played similar games on cassette. My first games largely included "Animal, Mineral Vegetable" "FA Cup" and "Endurance" (all of which are unlikely to have been played by anyone other than myself.)

Thankfully I moved onto the Master System (Alex The Kid ) and the Mega Drive after that...

I was deprived from vidoe games my entire life, not until I was ten did I get me first system, and it was a nintendo!

So I really suck at games right now. So all in all, about 6 years for me.

I'm a fairly newcomer to it. I've been a serious rpg player for only 3 years. My first console was the N64 but I never got serious about it until i got my PSX. I always wanted a console but my parents wouldn't let me...thinking I'd be on it all the time....well they were right

I started playing videogames more than 10 years ago (13? 14? can't remember) and I remember videogames were terrible.
When I was 7 or so and I got my first computer (if I can call it that way :p) games were so bad that I couldn't manage to finish them, because there were too many errors in them, like the main character couldn't jump to reach the lower part of the screen or it was impossible to pass thru a sort of corridor and so on.
And those games took ages to load!
They were working on cassettes....
Hours to load and few minutes to play

I used to play the original Nintendo, and also Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo at my cousin's house when I was really young.

The first system I bought was N64, then the PSX, then PS2. I haven't been into games for too long, and have only been into them in terms of getting into the community, etc. for the past year er so.

I'm still a pretty casual gamer though, even now, though I really like a good game.

Wow! I had one of those too! It was an Amstrad CPU-464

The first game I ever played was harrier attack, which at the time looked amazing (Boy, games sure have evolved).

The worst thing about the Amstrad is that you'd have a big game loading for about 45 mins, only for a 'syntax error' to pop up at the last minute and you had to load the bugger all over again!

I've been a PC gamer most o my life, since I was 5 or 6. my big brother was crazy about loderunner and stuph. then, when quake and Descent came out he really got into it. He even started a Virtual reality kiosk in the mall. all the time I was playing what he was. I played my neighbors Genesis for a few years then Jebs psx then finally a DC at my own house. thus I really stink at video games b/c I am fairly new to consoles.
