SOCOM (PS2) vs. Ghost Recon (XBox)

What do you say? I need to decide on which to buy...so I need good advice!

I've played both. I didn't like Ghost Recon very much, but I love SOCOM. That's my opinion though.

Is there any specific thing that makes SOCOM better, in your opinion? Controls? Graphics? Etc, etc...

I admit that I didn't spend very much time with Ghost Recon, but the things that bugged me the most were navigating, commanding teammates, strafing was slow, and the controls were a little awkward.

I don't have any complaints about SOCOM.

I haven't played either online, so I can't comment on that.

ghost recon is one sad game!!!!!!!! the graphics are rubish u dont see the gun but ppl say u dont have to, i think the producers rushed it and could not be bothered to put the gun in thats how my and my m8 felt when we played gr.

socom looks like one badass game.

A) First things first...I have one thing to say to you. "Spelling." Check it out.

2) I heard the graphics on Ghost Recon aren't that great...but let's make sure you people are talking about the XBox version...the PS2 version got a 4.0 on IGN, and the Xbox got an...8.8? I can't remember...either than or 8.2.

4) Not having the gun as a point of reference kinda makes me mad...but it's not because they rushed the game. That's how lot's of Tom Clancy Squad-based shooters are. If I'm not mistaken, Rainbow Six is like that...

M) Anyone played both online?

WHOA! Chill man...geez. Nothing I said was mean or harsh, and you come back and tell me to "shut the hell up."

I simply said what they said on IGN (about the graphics) and I wanted to double check and make sure everyone was talking about the XBox version...

Why, exactly, were you telling me to "shut the hell up?" I didn't say you were wrong anywhere...at all. I simply stated the scores.

Ok dan da man, chill dude, alright? Keep it low now. Suzuki was just implimenting on some stuff you said. But Suzuki, I know you didn't mean to say it in harsh manner, I can see that, but spelling isn't the most important thing on the forums.

Neways, everybody, just COOL down!

As for both the games, Suzuki, I havn't played the Xbox version, but have tried the Ps2 Version of Ghost Recon, and it isn't that that good, I didn't like it, as for Online, sorry havn't played it as well, so yeah I cant help you in that section either.

As for SOCOM, its simply amazing, I love it. And finally have tried it online at friend's place, and man its a little too good and tense.

I haven't played SOCOM enough to really comment on it. But GR for the Xbox is a blast. I recommend it.

I have a feeling I'll get Ghost Recon and XBox Live! because...if I got SOCOM + Network Adapter...that would be a waste. SOCOM is the only online game I want for PS2...there are 3 I already want for XBox...I guess I'll go with Live!

I prefer Ghost Recon. It's more on realism althrough the A.I at times can be like über ninjas or spawn killers online.

Why does it matter if you can't see your gun?

Regardless, I heard both are good and fun. Haven't played SOCOM, but I'm too lazy to buy it. :O

I don't know Nelo...I just like seeing the gun.

Well, I played Ghost Recon at a friends house today, and I think I'm going to get Live! and UC + Ghost Recon.

i havent played them both but dan that's a like a realistic army simurlator game. so of course you cant jump tall buildings and kill everybody with a super smart laser gun but i plan on renting those two game's. thats when i can get away from mechassalut,UC and my xbox live kit
