My father wants me to transfer his cd collection onto my computer and burn them onto MP3 cd's. Does anyone know of any free programs that would allow for this ? Any help will be appreciated greatly . Thanks

For ripping CDs, I personally use a combination of EAC (https://www.exactaudiocopy.de/), and Lame (https://lame.sourceforge.net/), which are amoung the tools which get you the best / most economical sound quality... though both are as confusing as hell if you're not prepared to work them out (and get them to work together - EAC acts as a frontend for the DOS based Lame). For something a little easier, I always used to use musicmatch (https://www.musicmatch.com/) which is easy to use, but limited and not quite as good as Lame.
As for getting them onto CD... this I don't know. If you want to make a CD which can be listened to on an mp3CD player... I don't know, though I would have thought that any mp3CD player would come bundled with information and maybe even software about that... If you have no intention of, doing that, i'd personally burn them as a simple data CD. (for all I know, that may even be the way an mp3CD player requires you to burn them...)

Thanks a bunch Kupo. I can handle burning them onto an mp3 cd once they are on my computer. Im pretty sure that I can anyway. I just needed some programs to do it with. Again Thanks
