Angry Seasonal troubles

Hi, how's anybody around here?

Everybody seems so happy because summer is coming, temperatures are warmer, days are longer and going out is more enjoyable. Plus, many people have already planned their holidays, or they're planning them.

But... there's also someone who's not that happy for the upcoming hot season. Those who suffer from hay fever, for example, forced to take meds to not cough, sneeze and weep all day because of flowers and trees in bloom. Or those who hate hot temperatures. Or again, people afraid of insects, who see their homes invaded by bees, spiders, flies and much more. Eep... spring/summer is not funny for them.

I'm a member of the first group of people, the summer lovers. I've always loved this season, mainly because I associate it with free time, lazy afternoons, spending more time on the outside, smelling fresh air, and so on. Btw, I know there's an increasing number of summer loathers around. They're amazing... They're so worried for good season coming that they seem paralyzed. Unable to move a muscle. My bro is one of them, just to name a person I know pretty well. I've always considered him a weirdo for this, but I can see he has his reasons.

Are there any summer loathers around here too? And in general, which is your fave season, the one which makes you feel more comfortable?

I have lived my life in Dubai which is a city in United Arab Emirates (In The Middle East --- The Gulf). And there is summer for 12 months....

The lowest temp there is 17' C. So ........ I have no problem with summer. I dont really love summer, as I have had enough of it for the last 20 years. But its true that you can go out and play sports and do picnic and stuff, which is not possible in the winter. Here in Canada....... its crazy winter for 9 months. I dont mind it right now.....but I think I'll hate it in the later years.

I dont have a fav season. But the reason I like Winter is because you can get sweaty (which I HATE). If I get all sweaty. I need to take a bath. Back in Dubai I use to take 4 to 5 baths a day. Everytime I use to step out of the house........it was 50+ C.

5 baths a day... crazy! I can see why you like winter, even if in Canada must be pretty tough. As for Dubai, I'm not sure I'd like that kind of place, even if I like hot temperatures and nice weather. Here everything's less "extreme"

Well thats me......I cant change cloths without a fresh clean bath. It relaxes me too. Canada is tough too..... you can die in the temp of -35' C. So I have come from an extreme hot temp to an extreme cold one. It seriously is crazy.

Yeah, good ole Canadia! I've lived here all my life, so I should be used to it... maybe thats why I LOVE summer time, its the minority of warmness, and since i cant have it for a long time, i want more of it, and love every second of it!

Spring's my favorite season, everything turns green and start to grow. The first time you can go out in a t-shirt is awesome and always makes me feel happy. Love is in the air all the young animals are born and the girls start wearing short skirts and tops again....
Drinking beer with my friends at the beach hanging out in the parks of amsterdam...
Damn this thread made my day...thanx

Summer is ok, I'm not too keen on Heat and the Midges are totally annoying. But I still like it, Summer Holidays, no school for ages.

Winter is my favourite season though. I Like the cold. And Darkness. Bwahaha.

Spring is annoying, It's raining on and off all the time. I was pissing down last night when i went out

That's me All the things you mentioned are among the reasons I'm not fond of summertime at all. The fact days are longer too, doesn't make me happy. I like when it gets darker around 5 pm. And, even if Rome is not Dubai, here is pretty hot as well. 40° C or more ain't that funny to be around, with sun burning your head and no breeze at all >.< I assure you my dislike is very "unpopular" around here too. People like summertime, crowded beaches etc.. The fact I don't doesn't mean I don't like anything about summer, but having to choose a more comfortable season, I'd say Fall. I like Winter's atmosphere too.

I'm not that fond of summer because I have allergies. But so far this year my allergies havent been acting up so I'm enjoying it. But my summer vacation wont start until the end of June because of all those snow days we had. Grr...

Actually it wouldnt matter much because I'm staing in Michigan for half that month so I can finally get my car (long story). But this summer most likely I'll sit on my ass and sleep all day because that is what I do best. I will have a new car so I might actually get out and do something with myself.

I got it! ...A weekly drive to the store for twinkies!

Summer isn't really my favorite season, though. Winter is because that's when my birthday is, dont have to worry about pollen, and get to play in the snow (when there isnt too much...).

Summer time, I like it, becuase most of the time where I live its always raining, its just annoying, like its raining now, when I walk around town, it can rain on and off about 10 times, not lie if im living in Africa or a rainforest, but its camp , so I do like summertime, some sun, I do suffer from hayfever, but not bad, only when im in a feild withs lots of flwoers or cut grass, winter cools withs christmas, and SOMETIMES snow, other than that I like the sun, go out more and catch a tan.

My fav season would have to be spring. It's not too warm and not too cold, it's the best time to be outside especially when the green starts to come back into the trees

Id like the summer, but there's just too much LIGHT....... I love the summer nights at 12 or 1 in the morning, when there is a very nice temp. and the air smells great (over the smog of Detroit). But personally, I like spring and fall the best because of the temperate weather.

I like summertime. I've lived for a long time in a place where temperatures were never too high in summer, and I've never suffered from any allergies and such things. I like the fact in summer you have more time for yourself, but I don't like taking usual vacations much, like going to seaside and so on. I prefer staying at home or hanging out with people. Or going to visit my relatives and friends back to my hometown.

I don't have a fave season. I like any of them for a reason or another. It's just good that there's some variety

I would say my favorite season is Summer. But for only 2 reasons. No school and Baseball. Though I have hurt my shoulder and it looks like I wont be able to play this year....so I will probably just stay indoors and catch up on games I've never played. If I didn't play Baseball I would probably say Spring. I love the sound of rain. It's calming and nice to fall asleep too. It doesn't get too hot because of the rain and it doesn't get too cold. Though I don't like the longer days. I love how it is night time at 5 in Winter.

I believe anyone who can get a tan is lucky. I have never had a tan, I just burn.

I got mad allergies too, but just like you they haven't been acting up all that much. I sleep and stay up late during the summer also, we seem to have a lot in common.

As you could prbably tell from my last paragraph I don't care for summer because of the allergy thing. I don't really have a favorite season, but my favorite times of the year are anytime that when it's raining it doesn't feel cold. Oh, another thing that bothers me about summer is that it's extremely humid around here in Virginia.

Try suntan lotion then... (couldnt resist)

I am a summer lover because of the days we get. Unlike dan in manchester where it rains all the time we get many a day in summer where it is really hot weather and its great for relaxing in... also we dont recieve many flies but we do get bees and wasps a lot.

Summertime is great because its the time to relax, kick back and have a barbecue and drink.

Yeah summers great...mainly because i got used to the extremly hot weather on where i used to live.
Well...i do get a bit hoe during the summers ans sweat like theres no tomorrow (sometimes i dont think ill see tomorrow thanks to that).
But i love sumer, so many things to do, no school, no work, like sephyr said, to kick back and relax and have a drink (cant go wrong with lemonade) and a few other facts (go around the skydome around here...WOAaa...)
Also, people who are allergic to summerdays and insects and stuff like those, i understand them...i mainly feel bad.
I hate the collection of flies around here...egh...they are everywhere.

Summer's good for the most part unless it's one of those extremely humid days and I'm trying to sleep.

Ugh.

I like all of the seasons for different aspects but I think fall may be my favourite.

By the way, where in Canada do you live, Blindman?
