Since General Chat is becoming the ideal place for posting rants, I'll post mine as well, just for this time...
I know this isn't a terribly serious matter, but I'm not saying I've lost faith in friendship and stuff like that. I'm only saying I'm furious! Don't tell me please that life goes on and that people in the world is suffering from famine etc... I already know, and I'm not questioning the importance of other problems ![]() I had an appointment with a couple of friends to go out, since it was Saturday night, and you know how these things go: I've been waiting for more than two hours, and nothing happened. Now, since I was worried that something could have happened to them, I called them at home and...guess what? They were quietly at home, sitting on the sofa, watching a movie together! They completely forgot they had to go out, and worst of all, they completely forgot I was waiting here for them to come! I'm so pissed >.< I could go out with my cousin and her friends earlier, instead of rotting here waiting! I have my Saturday night ruined because of these dumbasses! How cool is that??? |

Wow Rei that's not cool at all. I seem to have the same problem but with only one of my friends. She'll always say she'll be coming over and wanting to hang out, so what do I do? Well being the good friend that I am I pick up the house so it looks at least a little organized but then she never comes. Then when I do here from her it's sorry I was busy. It's always sorry with her.
Sorry about that I know this is your thread. That sucks what happened. I can't beleive your friends forgot that they were going to hang out. Does this sort of thing happen a lot or was this the first time? Hopefully you can enjoy what's left of the weekend.

not cool,..not cool at all.
Repercussions are in order for such lazyness. No person should have to tolerate such insolent behavior. Especially from friends. digimortal - maximum penalty.

What did they say when you called them on the house? I think that it is quite nasty of them...how long have you been friends? Is it a Triangle? Like, three of you being friends? Sometimes they can get awkward...which always ends up really bad, although i hope it is just a one off and things are fine between you, sorry to be so negative.

Zanku, it is not exactly a "triangle". I mean, I go out with them sometimes, as I go out with some other people as well. One of them in particular is always late, so no wonder this happened, even if this time it really bothered me since they could at least call me and say they were going to stay at home
![]() BTW, thanks for the support anyone

, i guess i can say i have the same situation, because i have 3 or 4 close friends and many that i just hang around with sometimes, as a larger group. One of them is particular forgetful and usually late, but i try not to let it get to me if things are forgotten, because thats just his nature.

Or maybe can't do anything, but tolerate, even when you take a stand against such exclusion, like when it happens to me. It happens all the time...I get left out of all kinds of plans. I have stayed up entire nights worrying my ass off about whether certain people I knew were ok or not cuz I didnt hear from them and ended up wasting my time I could have been spending atleast trying to enjoy myself in another way. Even when I've stood up for myself somehow it always seems to be mixed up in those arguments as me coming out to look like the jerk in the end. "Well our lives don't revolve on making sure your not left out of something, Mark." Well, damn straight, they couldn't have surprised me there.
Well it's just what happens when you try to know people. Sorry, for your particular incident, Rei. Feel free to rant more often! Why don't you? _RED_ stuff

The same thing happened to me a lot. It still happens now and then, but I have my revenge not allowing the guilty persons to come to my house for some time, or refusing to talk to them on the phone, or doing the same thing on purpose the next time
In other cases like it often happens *cough* with a precise person from this forum *cough* I get mad... Very. I don't like waiting for a long time without knowing if the person is coming or not, or worst thing, knowing the person is going to arrive but that he/she's probably taking more time than necessary for some other activity while I'm waiting. That really pisses me off. It's one of the things I can't stand about others

Yikes! Fortune unleashes her wrath!
I am glad I am not this other person on the forums you are talking about or can't be anyway since I don't hang out with you. You sound very vengeful...*keeps distance* Lol...no j/k. I am glad I am one of these people who tries hard not to ditch friends or leave them worrying. Helps me sleep at night...or atleast it would if it weren't for the fact I can't sleep at night for other reasons, including friends who are leaving me hangin. Oh, the irony. Isn't that called "murphy's law" or something? Gets me every time. _RED_ stuff

Oh man that really sucks Rei. I was supposed to go out with some of my workmates the other week and only two showed up out of fifteen.

Two is better than nothing...
I guess having the chance to go out with fifteen people makes things easier. You don't have many possibilities to find yourself alone. |
