I have yet to hear of any such complaints or have I encountered any myself. The adaptor is really easy to setup and I have played 5 games online now and each one has worked great. The early days of socom where a little choppy cause one of their servers was not setup properly and it caused a lot of lag but I have not seen any major problems you talked about since the 3rd day i played it.
Harry scored it a 9 out of 10 here at PS2Fantasy and my own review is pritty much simular to his in scores. The best part of the game is though that the mic works in single player too and makes a great game feature. plus the single play missions are rather tough and require a little skill to complete each mission. Yes it is worth it.

Its a sweet game, I havn't played it yet online, but its serious fun single player too. The controls aren't that complicated, play it for 30 minutes and you'll be fluent with them. The game rocks, and I am sure the Online part is as good as its Offline.

The online part of the game has a few flaws. People seem to get disconected about once every... hour I would say. That is just on average, because sometimes I can play all night without getting the boot, but sometimes I get disconected like three times in an hour.
Voice Communication is great. I only know of two people that I play with that have had problems with their microphones, but you can just send it to Sony with the receipt and they will give you a new microphone free of charge. The buttons are not complicated at all... Hell, I would say that they are some of the best controls I have seen on a shooter for the PS2 to date. |
