Umm this guy is rap so i don't respect him.As far as being talented i dont think he is.Did the guy play his own instruments i dont think he did.Of course he can rap and stuff but that really not to hard.I respect that you like him but in my own opinion there are a lot more artist that consider more respect than what that guys gets, mainly some great bands like metallica who are often bashed because there anti napster thing. How bout the great band lynard skynard they hardly get any comments.Im sorry to have spammed up your beautiful thread but it just angers me when a rap artist gets worshipped for "what"rapping and writting a bunch of depressing lyrics than a guy who dedicates his life to playing an instrument extremely well and contributing most of his life to the business.

I dont know why you say that.Instruments are what make a band great and that includes the amount of coordination rock artist in general use.Like metallica you here them on the cd and some may think they suck but then you hear them in concert playing together so tightly. Its amazing, they produce and play there own stuff instead of standing behind a computer enhanced beat (DJ's and stuff like that). And have you heard the sounds of a guitar when there are guys like kirk hammet and eddie van halen on stage its mind boggling what those guys can do and please dont ever say that gay people play instruments.I play the guitar and im not gay.

ok i rambled my rock revolution long enough someone get this back on topic

I personally find it funny how people smash rap and say there is no talent in it well i notice that half the people or more that say it are very close minded about music or have never tried rapping their selfs its not as easy as they think and yes rap has to map some sense and flow you cant say you can rap and just throw a bunch or words that dont flow or anything like that. I really didn't listen to 2pac im more into rock but i like some rap but i did hear that song changes and i like that.

There are very few rap artists that i like and this is the list in no particular order:
2Pac
Biggie
Eminem
Snoop and thats about it.
2pac, whether you like rap or not, was a great poet and his lyrics were always deep. Oh and i dont know if i am the only one on the forums who believes this, but Pac is coming back in 2003. In USA, after 7 years of death, you cannot be prosecuted. 2pac will never die!

Umm rap is very easy.I can right songs that flow perfectly and rapping them isnt a problem just ask CC and he'll will agree with me.Playing an instruments with coordination along with the other band members is 1000 time harder than rapping and it will always be

they're both diffrent forms of expression. One shouldn't be held in a position of high regard or adoration over the other, after all in the end it's all called music. Furthermore i see it as a matter of taste, but to limit oneself of all the diffrent flavors available is a sad thing.

Rap aint easy. and 2pac was very very talented he just didnt rap bout random stuff he rapped bout Thug Life...experiences hes had and **** like that. he is also a very talented poet if u get his book "The Rose that grew from Concrete" u'll see what i mean. he was also talented in the sense that he wrote an entire album in 7 days, sleeping 3-4 hours a night. that album was his Makaveli album(changed his alias fo that album)
The Don Killuminatai: The 7 Day Theory.
i also think he will come back in 2003. i've done TONS of research on him and i personally think hes faked his death.

Ok i think rap sucks, the average of the songs consist of sex, drugs, gangs, and killin someone and if it doesnt it always has a reference to it.Rock on the other they can tell a story in there songs, which frankly most people can relate too in there lifes.Plus i noticed people who listen to rap are influenced by it and dont turn out as good people and dont call me a liar because i know.

No offense but i talked to cc about it today and he agrees with me and what you call rap isn't rap rap isn't as easy as you think its got to make sense and flow about something and rap does take talent to keep goin especially free stylin rap.

Ok you guys act like rap is something that is incredibly hard and you need time to develop it.I bet yah any of you could do the crap, maybe not as well as some of them but do it none the less. All i saying is why is rap held in higher reguard to rock, why may i ask you.Mainly because theres so much of it out there and its easy.Rap groups out number rock groups at least 20 to 1.In rolling stone when they show some new bands theres a list of on going rap groups and maybe 5 rock bands. It take less talent to get into rap than rock and i'm not kidding and a few members will agree with me i think. And why in the hell are guys like ja rule held up higher and get my attention than bands like holochaust, creed, simple machine when those bands work so much harder.Thats my only real debate

its simple why they get more attention. the people like em better. that is why. more people like rap than rock. simple.
y they like it is a matter of personal opinion. i personally prefer rap over rock, but i dont think rocks bad i like some rock i just think rap has a better beat and sure some rappers just rap bout nothin but this thread aint bout rap vs. rock its about Tupac Shakur. now he was a rapper who rapped about real life. life on the streets. which is what many ppl in the US live like. he raps bout where he grew up, how he rose from nothin to the biggest rapper ever.

Ok rap is harder than what you think and you are being very narrow minded about this coming into a site for rap just to slam it is pretty bad. Rap is like an art and does tell stories about their life too slim shadys new album is all about what has happend in his life so rock isnt the only one that does that. I understand you dont like rap but rap isnt as easy as what you think saying 3 sentences that rhyme isnt rap. You need to be more open minded about others opinions and if you dont like what you hear just leave it alone.
