I just saw this documentary on Jack the Ripper called "Jack the Ripper: An Ongoing Mystery" on the Discovery Channel. Man....I love hearing about Jack the Ripper and the entire unsolved case of who he is, who it could be, and so on....does anyone here like good ol' Jack? What did you guys think about the movie "From Hell"?

I saw it a while ago at the cinema. It was pretty good, but suffered from the usual Hollywood problem, i.e. 'let's rewrite history'...

Why can't they ever leave a story as it is...

I'venever heard of the movie before in my life, and have no idea what the hell you guys are talking about. But I did see that documentary thing on the discovery channel. Or at least one of them. The one I saw was on a couple of months ago. Perhaps it was a repeat.

Cannibal, the film is called From Hell and stars Johnny Depp as a Police Investigator who is trying to catch Jack The Ripper. It came out in the UK about 6 months ago I think, and is based on factual events that occurred in London at the turn of the 20th century.

I might try seeing it if I ever get the chanse. That's k,inda like the only true life kinda movie I like. Titanic sucked!

Ah! From Hell is great! I love it soooo much! It's not out yet, but it's coming out May 14, so mark your calenders!

There are different conclusions as to who Jack the Ripper is, which is why I think it's so fascinating. Yes, maybe the movie is kinda dumb, but still...it's the best Jack the Ripper movie I've ever seen. Okay, so this thread was a waste.

i never saw that movie . i was most annoyed by that fact cause i do have an interest in jack the ripper . scared the hell out of me when i was a child . just the detail of these murders .

Seriously, my mother used to watch SO MANY horror movies when I was young that I kinda became immute to it and around the age of 7 and up, I watched them with her all the time.

I haven't seen the movie about Jack the Ripper though...
