Man I can't believe this movie is finally going to come out, I've waited forever for it. Now if only they'd make an Aliens Vs Predator movie I would be satisfied.

i heard something awhile back, i dunno maybe about 3 months ago.. that the same guy that directed Resident Evil and is currently working on the sequel is gonna direct Aliens vs. Predator. I haven't heard anything about it since.

I hope it does come thru though, an Alien vs. predator movie would own!!

About the Aliens Vs Predator, I remember a long time ago back when aliens and predator were still fairly new that the movie was supposed to come out. My friends buddy actually bought the script to the movie. I think at the time it would cost too much to make but i'm not really sure.

This movie is gonna straight rock, it's such a cool idea that two legends in their fields

battle it out. I think Jason's gonna win( at least I hope so). To bad he doesn't have the Jason X look any more( the movie wasn't that great but the upgraded Jason kicked ass).

Robert Rodriguez is working on the next Predator movie and he was either going to place it in the time of pirates, as a reference to the pistol that was given to Danny Glover in Predator 2, or he was going to base it in the future, ten years after Danny Glovers incident, where Predators (plural) come to Earth to go after the "champions", which is Arnold and Danny Glover.

The next Aliens movie, I think is being done by James Cameron, although he is upset that they killed off his characters from Aliens because he said he took some time to come up with them.

There was a possibility of Aliens vs. Predator, following a similar story line to the comic, where Predator takes the side of the humans, simply because he never had trouble with aliens, but his species has grown a mutual respect for humans. Sigournney Reaver (sp?) was rumored to star in, and I hate to say it, because I don't like Sigourney, but I would love to see her go heads up against Predator, given her new strength from being reborn.

As for the topic at hand... I'm rooting for Freddy, but I honestly think they both lose. I love the part in the trailer where Freddy tells Jason, "Why won't you die?!" I love Freddy Crougar's character, and they picked the perfect actor to play him.

I really wasn't very excited about it first, but now that I saw the trailers (yesterday) it's getting me excited. I'd go for Jason in this one, although those ******s should both die :B

I have NEVER liked Jason and Freddy. Heck i didnt know about them till recently. Uh...but seeing as how they are both "legends" i think it would be cool to see them both die. Like Frozen said.

I can't wait for this movie. I've been waiting for the meeting of these two heavyweights of horror for awhile. I truthfully hope Freddy comes out on top though. Jason has absolutely no personality and there isn't any originality in his killing. Freddy on the other hand is a smart as hell and deserves to win.

Just saw the trialers for Jeepers Creepers 2 and the other is called something hut, supposed to be the most scary horror movie since the 70's, did shit me out in the trialer, both look superb!

This movie has the potential to be something VERY entertaining. But i fear it may be just another money making ploy. Its the old, Slap a Big money making name on anything and it generates cash technique. Ill definately end up seeing this, if not in the theatres, on dvd when its released. I just hope Jason X (The Worst peice of shit movie every slapped together) isnt a hint as to what this movie will be like. I seriously doubt this will be a quality horror fliq but ive definately got my fingers crossed. And as far as who wins, id like to see Jason win. Freddys all show with his growing toungue and dream worlds. Jason would just strait hunt you down like an animal and hack you to peices no matter where you are.

And while were on the topic of horror. Does anyone know if theres been any talk of a silent Hill movie. Man id love to see something like that, talk about scary

Yes, there has been talk about a Silent Hill movie. I believe somebody bought the rights, but I'd better not say anything else because I just don't know. Personally, I'd rather they didn't make one and I feel very strongly about it.

As for Freddy Vs. Jason, I would like to see Freddy win, but I have this sneaking suspicion that they will kill eachother or both will somehow survive.

I have a question. Does anybody know why these two are battling it out? Is there a story behind it as to why they meet up and try to kill eachother? Or is it that they are just both wanting to be the biggest bad ass on the block? Maybe they're both in hell or something.

One scene from the trailor I can't get out of my mind is when he's rising up out of the water like that at the end of the dock. The cinemaphotography/special effects looks stellar.

nobody knows how the movie is gonna end. Even the press who got to see screeenings of the film in advance were treated to a final message...

something like "if you wanna see who wins and what's left of him see the film aug 15th".. from what i've heard there are some diffrent endings and the winner won't be revealed until the day the movie is released.

As for why they're fighting..Freddy is dying. The people of Elm street have they're kids doped up on a drug that eliminates dreaming. (the same drug used in a previous nightmare film)
Freddy uses Jason to kill and then consumes the souls of Jason's victims. When Jason finds out he's been used by Freddy he isn't too happy.
