Makes me think of the movie, Junior.

I don't think that this idea is terribly wrong, nor do I agree with it really. I think it's definently a very unnatural thing for a man to carry a baby but in a day and age where we can undergo surgery to change our sex, this might be too wild, really.

If successful, this will really break a huge block out of gender roles as we percieve them.

I think it's fake.

1. You would have heard more about it, and
2. He would have given birth by now?

Not to mention that the EKG and all are .gifs.

And one of the links straight off the site:

Follow the first human male pregnancy (well, not really) at www.malepregnancy.com.

Yea, that is what I thought at first but I checked out the FAQs. They explained it, but I went back to check out the disclaimer:

They are basically saying that whatever is on the site isnt medically correct. And have you checked out the top links? lol, just look at GenoChoice. Hot digity damn, I can make a baby by just putting my and a girl's finger on my computer screen! I did and it said our baby will have a 98% chance of being homosexual and 89% premature baldness. That is weird because the males in my family has NEVER gotten bald. A widows peak but not bald.

So then we went to "upgrade" the kid and make it physically and mentally perfect and it cane to a grand total of $157,491. Then went to "Make my baby", put in the e-mail and then... BAM! A error message comes up. *Sigh* A perfect baby for only $157,491, gone...

I can safely say this thing is fake.

But to turn this topic into something useful how about the ethical issue on all this? Do you think men should have babies and should we be able to change our babies to our liking?

I think a man should have a child if he wants. Its his body, let him do whatever he wants with it. Yea, its sick but if it makes the person happy then they should go for it.

As for changing babies to your liking, I'm not entirely sure. This may lead to discriminating against less fortunate children who parents could'nt afford to have a genetically engernieered baby. Also I prefer the old fashioned way of making babies. Ya know, by turning on the Barry White. But in a way rich people can make thier kids into what they want by hiring tutors and such. Wanna make your kid strong? Give him/her a personal trainer when they are young. Wanna make them smart? Start tecahing em as soon as they learn how to speak like my mother did. Maybe thier interest in reading may increase.

I think if a man wants a baby go for it. I just want to know where it's going to pop out. Seems to unnatural and I certainly wouldn't want to be the mother

I think that is a great point. I belive that it would lead to a movement similar to the one in Nazi Germany. Watch Gattaca. It's a good movie about this sort of stuff. Well not the male pregnancy but the alteration of babies.

I think it's wrong to try and alter your baby. I'm not going to say any more...

If something like that ever became possible I would pray that the governement had the good sence to stop it. Because...thats just...un natural. Ewww

Could you imagine how many christian organizations would be protesting something like that ?. That would be the ONLY protest Id be willing to join them on.

Its a fake. I said the same about the phantom but this time im sure. Men cannot physically have babies. They dont have any of the organs/fluids that are required to generate human life. I think its pretty sad people fall for every thing they see that has a photoshopped pic attached. Dont you think CNN would be running stories on this if it were real ?. Kind of funny though

The whole thing is presented as a very complicated and overly thought out satirical type article just like those on The Onion. It gives the whole thing away! It is hilarious, though.

That's just a pile of horseshit, folks.

Even though it is disturbing, it would be interesting if it actually happened, you know, that way a man could feel what being a mother really is. And then tell us men about it. :B

"no" to Men having babies... I actually have no reason for it, but I can't honestly see the psychology behind it. If a Man wants to be able to carry and give birth to babies, the chances that they would actually consider themselves truely "Male" are pretty slim.

It is my opinion that only Women would want to carry babies, but perhaps my definition of "Female" would differ a great deal from most people's.

Believe me, real men do NOT want to have babies. Its one of the great things about being a guy. If that ever became possible and 10,000 dollars says it wont in the next 100 years, then it would probably be a procedure popular with gay men. In that case, more power to them. Just stay away...far far away

I wont be giving it any more thought than that, the more I do think about it the more it makes me queezy*

surely not impossible... just unlikely and not entirely worth money researching. If Scientists managed to get Men to have babies by tomorrow, a lot of people would want to know why they didn't try and give people who really need it - infertile women - the chance to have children...

It pretty much goes against all that I believe in. I agree with the_artist... It's unnecessary and just pathetic to think that doctors actually use their education for this, rather than finding away to help those that need it.

If I were a doctor I would be in Australia, tears soaking until I can find a way to stop people from dying.
