Grand Theft Auto: The Next Generation

A new GTA is supposed to come out this year. Any thoughts? What improvements/ features would you like to see? I really can't imagine much more to do than there is in Vice City, but I'm sure they'll come up with something to blow us away. Graphical improvements and more indoors stuff, I'm betting. They can up the types of cars, but I don't think we'll get any leaps like the motorcycles and helicopters were. What will the new GTA be? And will it tear us away from our Vice City?

It's too early for a new GTA game.

I don't think this one'll be online... But a new one will come out this year. I just wonder what it'll be like.

I think it should be online, and well more realistic then cartoony.

But online feature is important, the servers would crash everynow and then though.......still it'd be a bigger hit.

My money is on the game being set In San Andreas (the 3rd city in GTA2, after Liberty City, GTA3 then Vice City, GTA Vice city duh) So Andreas seems logical.

I hope that Rockstar learn somethings from the Getaway, but still keep the game realtively simple to play and really fun. More Indoors, maybe a bit of sneaking (like the getaway).

And offline multiplayer, sounds good but how could it work? (Deathmatch? Capture the flag?)

deathmatch cause it would be so cool fighting in such a big enviroment and having all these cool vehicles and weapons at your disposal,I don't think capture the flag would work so good.
coropitive would be cool, where 2p can join and quit at any time(like dynasty warriors 3)

i think gta4 will be online, its going to have big improments to beat gta vice city.
btw the gta generation is going up to grand theft auto 7, that how far rockstars north have said its going.

I think they should have more traffic, people, stadiums, skyscrapers and the planes should go higher and the ones in the airport shouldn't be hollow and mabey drivable.?.?.?.?.?.?.?.?

whats soon about it? they release one every year, like a year diffrence with gta3 and vc, so its gonna carry on like that.

I'd have to say that GTA 4 will be set in the future. It could be like GTA 2 but in a 3rd Person View. That could be interesting.

That was only because VC was started before 3 was even released. Rockstar planned on releasing this one (vice) quick. Several sources say that the new GTA won't be for a while... Though early next year sounds plausible, maybe even xmas 2003?? I don't know about any sooner than that though. They need to "go back to formula" and start all over. The games are great, but take more time and make more innovations. We shouldn't rush the really great games, unless we want crap. I say wait it out for the next big one.. One more GTA for ps2, and then its onto PS3 for bigger and better things. Don't rush a good thing!!

I wish they would make it so that if you changed to a police uniform you wouldn't be detected by the police!
But you wouldnt be able to get hold of a uniform all the time obviously otherwise people would just go through the whole game with it on! Maybe for a mission you would pretend to be part of the police force and then for certain things the uniform would become available! That would be good!

And also take away some of the on foot police coz there is way too many of them in Vice city!

they are going to release one every year, but lets hope not rushing a great series.

I got a whole list of ideas.

1. Make it so you can haul motorcycles and 4-wheelers in the back of Pickups.
2. You should be able to throw people off the side of bridges.
3. Put 4-wheelers in the game.
4. Put REAL cars in the game!
5. Be able to haul trailers.
6. More Weapons
7. Animals to kill
8. Make the big Airplanes so you can fly them.
9. More Radio Stations
10. Be able to Bomb buildings
