I was just wondering how you guys all feel about christmas shopping. It seems that some poeple enjoy it...and some people dont. I myself hate shopping for anyone but myself, because I dont know what people like. Id hate to buy someone a gift they wont want.

I ask because this is my first year doing my own serious christmas shopping. I never realized just how much I despise it

I'm going to vote on indiffrent i argee with vicious shopping for presents with NO idea what the person wants. Can be the biggest pain...but usally my family jots down a thing or two (or just tells me) i usally have no money so i dont shop often but shopping usally doesnt get that bad but my mom and dad are the hardest people to shop for. i usally never know what they want while my brother on the other hand is pretty easy (get him some classic rock CD's and i think he is set)
so im still undecided

I'm indifferent to Christmas shopping in itself. In general I don't like shopping in this period as much as I used to, when I was younger. It's just stressing and end doing things just because others do it and it's tradition to do it. I like to looks at shops and decorations during this period though.

I wouldn't say I love it... but I do like it. I really like buying for my nephews and my parents. My brothers and sisters... well they are usually hard to buy for. But the part I really like is all the sales. I always shop for myself when I go because you usually see some great deals on a lot of great stuff. The only things I don't like about it are the cold weather and the rude people.

I enjoy it very much when I have no people around telling me to spend hours in the same shop trying or looking at everything, or when I have people telling me "No, not that shop! Let's try another one!". In brief, I love it when I can do things my way, when I can look at the things I like, when I don't have to wait in a corner for hours till the rest of the company is ready to move. Alone or better with the right persons (those who don't have to buy presents for every single inhabitant of the planet!), it can be great fun!

I love shopping, but when I have people with me rushing me to get out of the store its just very irritating, especially when its last minute stuff I gotta get. Otherwise.... I love it.

Well i have to say that i love it...i love to be able to make the ones that i love happy so ..i always try to get them things that i know that have something to do with everyone of them..that way they always like the things that i give them...so yes i love shopping specially on xmas...

I hate it, it seems like every single person in Holland is like let's go to amsterdam and do christmas shopping and they overflow the city and I can't get to work in a decent way, subway is overcrowded, trains are overcrowded, trams are overcrowded....
I like shopping, that's why I hate christmas shopping cause I am unable to do normal shopping because of all the freaking people!
Now i usually start buying gifts a month in advance so I don't have to hit the streets a week in advance and ruin my mood for the day.

No different than regular shopping, just with more people and I'm buying for someone else.

I still have yet to do my christmas shopping. Looks like I'm doing it tomorrow night...

Well I voted Hate it! But for 2 main reasons..
1) My feet are still hurting from shopping last night, really badly like my ankles have been broken or something!
and
2) Coz I have no money this year! which makes it hard to buy stuff.

But I do usually like buying ppl presents coz I like making people happy and Im good at getting what they want as I pay attention to what they like and stuff they mention thru the year ect.. so they are usually happy.

Me, my sis and brother usually all go in on a major present for my dad, like one time we got him a Hot Air Balloon flight, then another year got him a photo of him and my mum turned into an oil painting which was beautiful, next year for his birthday we're getting him a day of Falconry which should be cool.

We like spoiling our dad as he's the best guy in the world!
He's very special. I could open a whole thread tellign you about him!
But I wont drone on as I seem to have gone off topic...

I love it when I find something REALLY great that I know that person'll love and then I get really excited! A lot of times I've had to hold myself back from giving it to them early!! I love giving to people! ^^
