Sailor Moon was not censored. The plot itself was changed greatly. Why? Mostly because the japanese version dealt with serious issues, and the Senshi were all very independant, strong people... So the censors said '' Well... I know! Let's make them ditsy girls and have them obsess over boys and be like stereotype cheerleaders!" And then it changed over to "Lets turn it into an afterschool special!with happy friendship and joy joy joy!" Watch some japanese episodes. Trust me, it is a completly different show.
