I am at 2nd dan with lei fei.
It took a hell of a long time to go from 1st dan to 2nd dan. lol
I left my ps2 on this afternoon and left the house. I had my AI fighting for himself. I heard that if i leave him to fight for a few hours, he`d gain ranks in just a few hours.
So i left, but when i came back, someone turned off my ps2!!
what a fricken waste of time. geez...
I leave it on again tonight and see what happens.

Edit: ok, been playing for the past... 45 minutes maybe.
Lei Fei is at 3rd dan now!

2nd update: ok, i`ve let my A.I. fight for about... 5, maybe 6 hrs now. I left and came back, and he`s at 5th dan now!
