i found out that the earlier versions of the ps2 were rushed to release due to the huge number of awaiting fans this did not allow sony to work out all the bugs and soon problems started to arise first the blue disc's were actually lighter causing the ps2 to be unable to read them. Then the dvd problem came up because the earlier models were not equipped to handle exstensive dvd usage. So if you were one of those people who could not wait to buy it and rushed out to get it chances are you got a faulty model and will probably run it to these types of problems not saying everyone will some maybe lucky and run into absolutely no probs but the majority of people have and let me just say you are a lot better off buying a new one the repairs will probably cost you twice as much believe me i am also a victume of this. Well thats good. Atleast Sony fixed the problem. The one I had that broke down was an early model .

No doubt. I cleaned mine..just not every week. I would never clean a system every week with a vacume...id have to be pretty damned fond of it If I did.

"duct?" tape

Duct Tape is the proper name. Duct tape's original purpose was to..you guessed it, tape ducts used in heating systems. I know becuase im in the trade. People started reffering to it as Duck tape simply because its easier to say. Also a company started producing thier own brand of duct tape that they named "Duck" tape, complete with a cartoon duck on inside cardboard.
