Frozen is on a distinguished road
LOTR is definitely the best trilogy I've ever seen.

I loved this movie just as much as the previous two.

But I have to agree with pretty much all of Preventer Wind's points. The movie left out several things about the book which were VERY IMPORTANT and should have not been left out that way.

I was extremely disappointed that Saruman did not even appear in the movie. I mean, one of the damn chief characters all of a sudden vanished. Gandalf breaking his staff was the "time for payback" I had been waiting for ever since I read The Two Towers. I just can't still believe something like this was left out.

Instead we got the lamest opening scene with ugly-ass Smeagol.

Also Denethor was portrayed as a jackass loser rather than the steward who had been tormented by the Palantir he possesed.

Ah, I just get pissed off when I think of the things that could have been done to be more accurate to the book and still look right.

But I believe that there is no discussion in that the battle scenes were the best in the Trilogy and probably in every damn movie ever made. Well, now that I say this, I'm sure there can be a BIG discussion

Anyway, I fricken loved it.
