Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles is Gamecube only i'm afraid. The likeliness of a PS2 version is very, very slim. (Basically, Square only recently got friendly again with Nintendo, and openly shunning the GC wouldn't be good).

As for what kind of game FF Crystal Chronicles is... it isn't a turn-based strategy game like Tactics, or even a turn based/ ATB game like the normal FF games. It is actually a Real Time RPG, with more in common with Zelda, Kingdom Hearts or the Mana ("Legend / Sword / Secret of Mana") games than Final Fantasy. If I was to be sceptical, I would say that FFCC shouldn't be called a FF game: just because it has Crystals, Chocobos and Moogles doesn't make it a FF game. However, it has already been praised for it's fun up to 4 player system, and GBA connectivity.

At £75 / $100, the Gamecube may be a worthwhile and affordable purchase to play this game, and a few others. PS2 owners will still get FFXII after all...
